I recently rewatched The Dark Knight Trilogy and as per tradition I am rereading Department of Archives again :) I don’t know if you would continue the story, but what you’ve written so far fills a void in me because I always thought Nolan!Bruce deserves to be loved by someone like Lyn. I wish she was real! Also on a side note, sometimes I see you reblogging Rogue One stuff from me and it always makes me happy :)
AHHHHH thank you <3 I was definitely in the ‘Rachel is great but WHY does he love her so much’ camp and then when Catwoman showed up she ALMOST was allowed to be Bruce’s equal but lets face it for all his genius, Nolan can’t write women or a love story -.- I get the ‘benevolent sexism’ feel from him, especially with his obsession over killing off or hurting the female love interests in a lot of his movies. Lyn was my attempt to give Batman an equal in both wit and tenacity...though ironically, one of the complaints I got was that Lyn seemed too competent - more so than Batman, which baffled me because I literally kept charts to mark whenever Lyn or Bruce got a one up on each other LOL.
ALSO YES ROGUE ONE IS MY LIFE i loved that movie so much ;_; if I could give Lyn and Bruce half the chemistry as Jyn and Cassian that’d be awesome.
