You know who also has those features? Who had a connection to Nero and potentially family ties.

Octavian.

What if they're related? Cassius could be a hostage to ensure that Octavian's family stay under the emperors' thumb.

Cassius and Georgie are now friends because I say so and also like just imagine this:

It’s been years since the quests, Apollo and Meg are still incredibly close, and they go to visit the Waystation to see everyone there, including a now 15-year-old Georgie. Cassius come with because apparently he and Georgie have been video-calling together. They get to the Waystation and one thing becomes incredibly clear. Cassius and Georgie are just like Apollo and Meg. It’s uncanny. Everyone is slightly terrified.

Apollo and Arty on Career Day

(fuck you zeus doesnt exist and i dont have career day in my country so uh bare with me)

How did the chaos happen? Well, rewind to the day before in the afternoon when young Cassius was telling Meg that they're having Career Day. Ofc they have to bring parents, even if they're adopted. It's kind of a must.

Meg calls (Iris message or prayer, it's really optional) the twin gods and urged Cassius to tell them. Shyly, he begged them to join it. The gods tried to reason with him, but they didn't want to hurt the poor kid's heart so they promised to be there by sundown.

The Imperial Household kids (who were hiding while eavesdropping the call) beamed, since their adoptive parental figures (read: mom and dad, but not married, just siblings. idk how to explain that) are coming to visit. Although they still drop by often, for demigod standards anyway; godly duties yk, they still get excited whenever they came by.

Exactly as promised, the popped by on sundown, and the kids flooded them with hugs. They almost fell down cuz of the sudden hugs, but they enjoyed it. So does the other kids, i mean it's not like they had a good parental figure.

Artemis settled by the pool and Apollo on a hammock. Apollo is a morning person, so he helps the dryads prepare breakfast. He splashes water on Artemis' face. It results in a red slap mark on the sun god's face.

The kids get to the school near Aethiales which was bustling with parents. The gods awkwardly walked with the children since they are unsure what to do. I mean cmon guys, Apollo is kinda a deadbeat (until his trials) and Artemis is a virgin. Though they both still have experience with kids, with Artemis having the kids and Apollo yk after his trials plus he is the protector of young boys. But, it is their first time attending a mortal school event.

Cassius kept talking about how he's doing, and the twins can appreciate his enthusiasm. It was cute seeing him jump around and introduced them to his teachers.

one of the more interesting introductions was with Meg's history teacher (she insisted on coming along to watch cassius, though the gods can sense that she missed having apollo and artemis around) who knew the myths since he had to teach every year.

"pleased to finally meet you. meg has been a bit of a trouble, but we're holding on. with what name can i call you?" "apollo, this is my sister, artemis." "like the greek gods? such interesting names!" "yeah... haha... like the olympians... our old man had a knock for myth names..."

Eventually, Meg had to go to class and left, leaving the twins with 8-year-old Cassius.

Each parent went up, with Apollo making mental notes on who to visit late- *slap* (I HAD TO IM SORRY LMAO)

When the twins get up front with Cassius, Artemis gave a little wave, while Apollo beamed, almost fucking literally, he had to hold it in. Cassius started introducing them. It was going pretty great.

Until... "And they drive the sun and moon." the gods internally spat their imaginable tea. Fuck.

Cassius kept going on about how Apollo is also a doctor, musician etc and Artemis is also a skilled hunter, etc. It came to a point where Artemis softly stops Cassius and explain why it was a red flag slowly, while Apollo controlled the mist. Cassius nodded.

Now changed, Cassius said they were archers with gold medals and that they could show them if they would. The class has never met with an olympic (olympian hehe punz) gold medal nor seen an archer irl so they were intrigued.

That they can do, they shot with complete accuracy that the crowd was in awe. They ended the career day with food together it was nice.

In the end of the day, before the family went to get ice cream, a girl approached them and asked, "Do you two really drive the sun and moon?"

The twins looked at each other and back to the 8 year old. Well this is gonna be fun.
