daemon: it is no concern of mine whether your family has-what was it again?
smallfork: food..your grace
daemon: well you really should have thought of that before you became PEASANTS
if Alicent hasn’t seen Daeron since he was a baby, and fDaeron was given Targ white hair to presumably match real Daeron, and show-targs only have basic blue/green eyes instead of purple, how did Alicent know fDaeron wasn’t Daeron??????
Nah she knew before she even saw his face. Real Daeron definitely has red hair. But I'm guessing that's supposed to be a secret.
I know its not obvious but y'all septon Eustace is NOT the high septon (he's more like the local archbishop) the high septon is in oldtown
Is it just me or does it feel like characters change drastically when Hess gets a hold of them for a minute?
To be honest with you ...
The writing has been so subpar for so long that I've forgotten when last the characters felt like their Season 1 counterparts.
It just seems like all shit written by people with no life experience and the reading comprehension of a fourth grader.
A little boy is mudered in his bed in front of his mother, that mother not only doesn't care but no one does. They're all just fine double crossing the people they love in order to help the people that did it
Why are they wasting our time with Ormund Hightower? Why is he so important? If you read "Fire and Blood" the man couldn't even defeat smaller Reach armies till Criston sent Daeron from King's Landing to take over the overland campaign. From there its made pretty clear that Daeron was the commander of the Army and Ormund was the politician and the figure head. The book even makes space to tell the reader that Daeron was leading the army and winning battles.
But because Condal is such a petty little bitch we now have an entire episode dedicated to Ormund Hightower who was not important in the book because he doesn't want to write Daeron as he is supposed to be because he doesn't like the character because GRRM and "The Chuds" do.
So now Ormund Hightower is Rhaenyra's nemesis - her boogey man - when the book - in every printing - makes it clear that Daeron is the main reason that Rhaenyra loses everything and the Blacks fold.
So, sure Hess is a fucking hack ... but the entire writers room aren't much better this late in the game.
Is this a safe space to admit that I don't know why older Targaryens, eg Rhaenyra, have distinct elaborately braided hair on screen whenever Daenerys' multiple braids were inspired specifically by the Dothraki, not previous Targaryens
After all this time with 0 daeron, the writers have made up for it with 2 daerons
Daemon, I love you, but you’re a cocky idiot. Why tf would the dragon not follow you and its RIDER?!?!!! Like he mentions not letting Daeron just go about with his dragon and then just….leaves said dragon? 😭😭
“what would your father do?”
“have a banquet”
the saddest part is that’s probably true
And is….💀
Vizzy t did NOT gaf 😭
Daemon really said “Fine! We won’t take over the world… you still gotta kill your kid brother though!” 😂
the conflict between rhaenyra and corlys was so good bc rhaenyra STILL can't acknowledge her sons are bastards and denying corlys is the next logical step. it makes her look like a liar, but in truth makes her callous to corlys who's been her supporter since the beginning. i liked that in the book it's jace who convinces rhaenyra to legitimize addam and alyn, without him, rhaenyra does not, can not, which will lead to corlys' eventual treason and addam's escape. also literally laughed out loud when corlys fucking YELLED that jace is a bastard. he says luke and joffrey's name quietly enough but JACE'S he has to yell it. i know jace would've killed himself twice if he'd been there. but then again, if jace had been there, corlys would not have done this lol. lmao.
Ain’t no way rhaenyra ain’t know that baby wasn’t alicents.
Just cause you name him Daeron don’t mean he belong to Daeron
That is not Dababy
(Spoilers for HOTD S3 E3)
Ah... Did they really leave the dragon behind??? They took the kid and the dragon didn't flinch and that didn't raise any eyebrows? They didn't have "Daeron" command his dragon to follow them so they can chain her up in the Dragonpit?
And seriously what is Alicent doing! I was surs she would quickly go "oh cousin Ormund is up to something i'll play along" and hug the kid. But nope!
The fake Daeron plot was super interesting but I feel like it has some big holes already.
Neil being a demisexual and how obvious it is by how he uses simple terms when meeting people like just saying their hair and eye color. He doesn't even bother describing people he doesn't find important. Meanwhile the difference between meeting Andrew for the first time vs him having fallen in love with him has Neil waxing poetry about Andrew and it's so funny. Miser i don't swing was down bad by the second book.
First time meeting Andrew: "Andrew Minyard didn't look like much in person, blonde and five feet even."
After falling in love with Andrew: "Andrew looked as he always had, and Neil knew his face as well as he knew every iteration of his own. Despite that, something seemed different. Maybe it was the sunlight streaming through the window, making Andrew’s pale hair shine brighter and his hazel eyes seem almost gold. Whatever it was, it was disorienting. A wordless question buzzed under Neil’s skin, leaving him restless and out-of-sorts."

Does anyone know if Cassandra is the older one or is Paris the older sibling?
I'm kinda struggling something
Also if anyone can make a list of the kids of Priam and Hecuba from eldest to youngest, that would be very helpful
Mythology is funny with timeline but my guess is that she is younger. I base this on that she is believed when Paris is revealed to be the long-thought-dead prince. Only later is she cursed by Apollo to not be believed. So she is likely still fairly young when Paris first shows up. And by that point Paris already had a wife and kid, making him clearly an adult. So the difference between her being a teenager and Paris being in his twenties is my guess.
