Sometimes I forget that there are people who weren't a part of the fandom when S3 was getting ready to air, and so they never saw this video of the voice actors promoting the season using a TikTok meme that was from their show.

Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure
Thank you to those of you who tag your spoilers! Just a P.S.A if you use the non spoiler tags. Tangledtheseries, rapunzel, eugene etc!! we still can see it. No matter if you tag it as a spoiler or not (which doesn’t really matter if it’s at the bottom of your post and we’ve already seen it!!)
"Rest well, drooling angel"
Do you think people thinking of Rapunzel and Cassandra as sisters (even though they’re not biologically related) is an attempt to validate Gothel and her actions? I never had thought about it that way, just liked their friendship.
No, I think people who think of them as sisters count their friendship as close enough to be "like sisters". No one has ever claimed they're biologically related, but you know what? Kiera and Catalina are canonically sisters, even though they're not biologically related, either.
Hell, even Rapunzel thinks of herself as Cassandra's sister, and Eugene says he loves Cassandra like a sister, too. That's what people mean. The only mother Rapunzel knew until she was 18 was Gothel, and Gothel was the only mother Cassandra knew, period. They're linked by trauma from the same source. That doesn't validate anything Gothel did, but what Gothel did did happen, and dismissing it in order to shore up our own arguments doesn't do justice to the situation as it's presented to us. Acknowledging history doesn't necessarily validate the wrongs that were done during it.
me: i don't know, i'll get back to you on that
