Here’s my thing and I’ll just shut up about it. If there were two endings - one for a season finale and one for a series finale, why did the shooting have to occur in the good one? They could have just had their breakfast and had it fade into the 7 years later bit. I can’t shake this off.

What I wish we could have seen

I wish I could have seen Alexis letting herself into the loft, only to have her younger siblings come down the stairs, and shushing them, telling them they had to be quiet, and going to the kitchen to make breakfast. Then, we’d see the kids sneaking into the master suite to spy, and not sure if Beckett was there as the lined up at the bedside, only to have the camera pan up on her sleeping body, (revealing a scar on her chest) and her eyes opening slowly, focusing on her kids, then asking them, ‘Why are you guys waking me and Daddy up so early?”

And then, Castle sitting up, correcting her, “Daddy and me, Kate. Proper English” And we can see a matching bullet wound scar on his chest, too.

Then, the Caskett clan running out into the living room to see Alexis making eggs, saying to her brothers and sister, “I told you guys to let Mom and Dad sleep!”

“But we’ve got your baby shower to plan, dear daughter!”

And the family clinking coffee cups and sitting down to eat.
