I think out of all the ME romances Garrus is the one with the most consistent handling because the romance stage never really usurps the "bro" stage, so the interactions are less jarring in their switches between default comrade lines and romanced extra lines/scenes. Worst has gotta be Jacob, right? I mean, barring Andromeda.
lol i dont know what the fuck u mean by “romance stage never really usurps the "bro" stage”, but i remember that when i first played me2 and was trying to decide whomst to romance for my Femshep bc they cockblocked me on Jack, I tried Garrus and it was so skin-crawlingly awkward I couldn’t get thru it.
like at the time I was DMing a game where one of the players was constantly hitting on me thru her character while both of our boyfriends were also at the table, and it was still somehow LESS awkward than this whole “haha I banged a girl one time after we fist-fighted - haha cool wanna bang too?” exchange

Reko dies if you fail the fake Reko event, either waiting the timer out or not pushing her, whereas Alice dies if you complete that segment
