It had been years since Dean had that interview. Since he’d even thought about it. It had been a simpler time, though it couldn’t compete with how happy he was now. With a soft grunt he opened his eyes and sat up on the couch. Castiel was standing in the middle of the living room, seemingly entranced by the tv.  “You didn’t kill anyone, Dean.” Of course, it wasn’t exactly about the interview. As the years dragged on after that, Castiel knew the incredulous amount of guilt Dean felt for the innocents he’d failed to save. The angel knew that Dean refused to believe he was worth saving. That he saw himself as angry, as destructive, as nothing more than John’s blunt instrument. And that was far from the truth. Castiel hadn’t done as much as he would have liked to change Dean’s point of view. Today was going to be all about Dean.  “Cas...” Not as much annoyed as confused, Dean stood. “What’s this about?” 

Sure, Castiel could have answered the question. But it would have ruined the surprise! He reached out to grab Dean’s shoulder, and with the familiar roar of wings and a ringing in their ears, the room disappeared. 

The first thing Dean noticed was soft sand between his toes, and warmth encapsulating him. But just a few moments ago he was wearing shoes, he could’ve sworn it. Slowly he glanced down, quite startled by the sight that met his eyes. He wasn’t wearing much of anything, aside from black swimming trunks! “Cas!” 

“Yes, Dean?” The angel nearly came off as smug, as he shamelessly stared at his confused boyfriend. Especially when Dean had turned to face him. That infuriatingly handsome angel  fluffy haired nuisance had lost his trench coat. The suit underneath seemed to be missing as well, in favor of bee-patterned swimming trunks. Dean’s brain short-circuited at the positively gorgeous sight. 

He was brought back to earth only by Castiel’s stern admonishment. “Dean! It’s dangerous to pack a gun in your trunks!”

EVERYONE TALKING OR EVEN THINKING ABOUT DESTIEL RIGHT NOW READ THIS: (SERIOUSLY. PLEASE. IMPORTANT.)

i don’t ship it. i never have.

i’ve never had any problems with destiel shippers until now.

why? well...

i’ve seen people talk about trying to get ‘Walker’ (who has a diverse cast and i think also has a bi-racial gay couple) CANCELLED

i’ve people who swear/strongly believe jensen is homophobic say that they hope his character on ‘The Boys’ is queer because they want jensen to be forced to kiss a man/men. (one person literally used the words against his will)

they are all doing this because their ship didn’t go canon (at least not “canon enough”).

you can be mad, upset, or feel anyway you want about the finale. but attacking crew members and cast members? chasing people off of social media? trying to interfere with Jared and Jensen’s next projects? saying you want an actor to have their new show (that they are so excited about) be cancelled? saying you want an actor to be forced against his will to do something as a “punishment”? (when you don’t even know if he would actually give a fu*k about having to kiss the same sex. you’re just assuming.)

that is so far beyond okay. doing all of that because you wanted two fictional characters to be in a relationship? (i’m not judging you for being upset over it. there has been queerbaiting and fridging and things like that on the show for years. i’m not ignoring or denying that. i also know not all of you are doing this. i just can’t believe that people actually are.)
