Summary:

“What did you do?” Shadow Nom hissed aside to the Red Kingdom members.

“We invited more from your world here!” Sausage said, stepping between them. “Protecting these two —”

Shadow Cherri cut him off, addressing Shadow Katie, Rusty, and CC. “Why are you here? Surely you want to go back home to our world.”

“Well it’s quite nice here, I think,” replied Shadow Katie, with an air of dissonant cordiality. “Don’t you miss your mountain?”

“Ooh, see, it’s kind of awkward,” Shadow Cherri continued, with a faux-apologetic tone, “’Cause we’d just booked this place as our vacation home already.”

CC pulled out a stick of TNT, grinning. “I do know of an easy solution to this problem.”

“Woah, woah, woah!” Katie held up her hands, backing away.

The Red Kingdom members backed off from the Shadows as CC laughed at their reactions.

Nom bristled, fully drawing out his axe. “I think you should leave, actually.”

Or; the Red Kingdom summons dangerous and powerful beings, Shadows, to the world of Bannerfall, some of which share the faces of people they know. This becomes everyone's problem.

thinking about my castoff x in stars and time crossover again and got to thinking... minor spoilers for castoff and major spoilers for isat ahead!

The crossover isnt exactly an au, i wasnt planning to fuse the worlds, so the isat gang would never even have the chance to get castoffs. But i think if Siffrin did then the most fitting one would be love, or more specifically devotion. and rewinding time (under specific circumstances) could be his castoff power.

Almost everything he does is about love! urhgh its hard to put it into words, but there's something about how their pain and the miseries they inflict on themselves relate to love. They make the wish because they love their party. They have such horrible communication with the people they love because of the pain they experienced from having love ripped away and denied to them by the universe. Because they're so scared of losing it. And so they doom themself because of love.

And this is basically how their loops work already! If something stands in the way of his devotion, such as death, his castoff power activates and 'fixes' that. With all the time in the world, they can make sure that they'll always be with their family. Its kinda haywire, though, because Siffrin is very unwell about it all of course. When he feels like his devotion cant ever be accepted or returned, that's when it triggers. When their family is leaving. When they hate him.

does this make sense??

we dont know how exactly castoff powers work in relation to their emotions being felt so maybe the mechanics dont fit at all but i love (hah) the idea of siffrin having a love/devotion castoff
