ooh, this fits nicely into the ideal of the violent troll, highbloods go into prestigious leader positions and lowbloods are forced to work more behind the scenes. any thoughts on fear of psionics being the #1 reason why lower castes are devalued?

i’d certainly never rank it at #1, personally? lowbloods are physically weak and they don’t live long enough to have any effect on the ideals of a highblood trying to get his point across - they’re practically submortals compared to the upper classes - i think that’s always going to be historically the #1 reason

but i can certainly imagine it being a factor? i like to draw parallels between chucklevoodoos v psionics and miracles v magic, so i can certainly imagine it being a good reason to continue devaluing the lower classes once youve got them where you need them. powerful capabilities of the mind are always going to be a threat to a system of subconscious subjugation in the same way magic acts as a threat to the integrity of a system that values a God

so, uhh

i might not call it a “fear” of psionics? among non-powered lowbloods and the lesser midblood castes i can definitely see that being one way the system manifests itself, but among the higher classes i’d describe it as more of a cultural bias towards the concept

hMM this is a good topic actually ive never put much specific thought into it but

i guess they both kinda go through their own distinct “styles” of oppression?

i imagine that psychic trolls are treated as more cerebral beings and they’re given more technical, scientific roles (i saw it mentioned once that lowblood language is all more technical than what’s considered normal for highblood language and i think that’s relevant) so 

the way they’re brought up is more about kind of being groomed for a very strict avenue of work (”go to the hangar and design me a starship” is what all the troll!CoD players are gonna tell you when they find out you’re a psychic)

whereas powerless lowbloods are more just. straight up serfs, really? in a general societal way they probably end up facing more shit but they’re saved from being hooked up to computers i guess, which is a blessing in itself

washing machine is a+ for undyed converse (also if they r a bit decoloured 30 mins with clothing dye makes them look good as new, only thing u'll have to handwash them from then on))
