smell and therianthropy are linked a lot for me, and it helps me feel a lot better when i perceive myself as smelling more feline. cats always have this unique smell about them — and each of them have their own scent. but all of them harbor this earthly smell, even if they are indoor cats.
some smells that invoke shiftiness are definitely things like patchouli, catmint, autumn wind (cloves and crisp leaves) and mrs meyers lavender scent — which doesn’t quite smell like lavender and the lasting notes leave that kinda kitten smell or basal smell cats have at times.
i love trying out different perfumes/colognes and oils to capture these sort of shift inducing smells. i’m curious to hear what some of your’s are? what kind of scents do you try and incorporate into your routine; perfumes, candles, or plants to help you feel more at ease and at one with your therianthropy.
