My therapist told me I needed to find an exercise activity I enjoy doing if I’m ever going to be successful in exercising regularly. So my husband and I started walking down to a pond at the end of our neighborhood and catching frogs. It only took four days of trying but we finally caught one.

We released her back into the pond shortly after. But she sure was pretty.

Frog Prince

I recall There was a time When I was free. My dearest friend And I Would play Near ponds And make sport Of catching frogs. I caught one once, At seven years, And brought it To my father. He told me such creatures Were meant To stay Outside. Still, I saw him smiling. My best friend Still laughs And calls me Her frog prince, Her prince That catches frogs. I smile And laugh along. They were Simpler times.

I know I’m a bit early (more like three months early) but I just felt like making one of the graduation gifts I have for my friends and I. It’s super cute and based on the idea of what would happen if my friends and I went camping and then one of us impulsively decides to try to catch a frog and this is the result! I’m really happy with the outcome and I hope they all like it!
