So... years ago in the early 2000's, I wrote a silly fanfic about CatDog called "Duet Or Die". I never finished it, but it had a very small following that I was quite proud of at the time.
I attempted to re-write the story in 2014, but... I wasn't inspired enough to finish that one, either, and in my opinion was worse than the original.
Anyway... all these years later, I really want to write a new story that features Tunya Felina and Biscuit Canino, my two OCs. The difference is that it's going to have adult themes in it.
This is Tunya Felina and her twin sister, Biscuit Canino. Their current story is very different than before. Here is their current backstory:
Their parents are a dog named Bones Canino (their dad, a retired rockstar) and a cat named Salmone Felina (their mom, a famous opera singer). Their grandfather is a corporate billionaire named Mack Felina. Because of Mack's hatred of dogs, Bones and Salmone had a very rocky marriage, making Tunya and Biscuit's lives more difficult than it needed to be. Tunya and Biscuit have no idea their grandfather is to blame, thus they accept his help when they move out of their parents' mansion, from Bankburg to Nearburg.
Mack sets up his granddaughters with their own mansion right next door to Rancid Rabbit, whom he asks to keep a close eye on his granddaughters for their safety. Oh, and he also threatens Rancid's life if he tries anything funny with them. Rancid has a beautiful secretary, by the way, and her name is Buffy Bunny.
Buffy loves her boss, but knows he's kind of unorganized and useless without her... something that gives her a power kick. Buffy is the one who gives Rancid the most advice about dealing with Tunya and Biscuit, along with just about anything else he's unable to figure out on his own. Her advice is normally very logical and sound, but if her boss needs her to be sneaky and devious, she can come up with a good plan. Anyway... Buffy actually cares about Tunya and Biscuit's safety, so she befriends them in order to keep an eye on them.
I'm not sure whether I want Tunya and Biscuit to meet CatDog on a dating app, or at a housewarming party they throw at their new place... either way, the sisters end up in a relationship with CatDog. Tunya dates Cat, Biscuit dates Dog. It blows up on social media because of who Tunya and Biscuit's parents are.
Not only was Bones a famous rock star, and Salmone an opera singer, the two of them were famous enough to star in a romantic movie together. The film was called FishBone, and was considered largely controversial for depicting a cat and a dog in a healthy romantic relationship. Those who didn't want the film banned considered it revolutionary. Cats and dogs, this universe, usually hate each other so much that the idea of a cat and a dog being romantic partners is seen as unnatural. Going against nature. So imagine the outrage when Salmone and Biscuit actually got married in real life AND had children together.
No one would ever believe they were fighting behind closed doors, with only their daughters to witness it, never breathing a word to anyone save for Mack Felina.
Mack finds out his granddaughters are dating CatDog, and he is furious! It's bad enough his one of his granddaughters was born a dog (he doesn't blame her, he blames her father). Now they're dating something that's neither dog nor cat, yet somehow both!? Ugh, how disgusting!
This is Mack, by the way. He hates dogs because his wife, Salmone's mother, ran away with a dog years ago and left him alone to raise their daughter. He's taken it out on Bones by manipulating Salmone into hating him. Also, between his two granddaughters, he's nice to Biscuit, even cares about her, but he clearly favors Tunya.
Yeah, he really does not like CatDog for being who they are, and the fact they're dating his granddaughters infuriates him. He wants to get rid of CatDog, but he doesn't want his granddaughters, especially Tunya, to be upset with him. So he uses his money and connections to try and get CatDog killed or otherwise removed from Tunya and Biscuit's lives.
I haven't developed the story beyond that. I'll end this post with four more OCs I want to include in this story:
Dianna Pig (left) and Melanie Weasel (right). (I wish they had better last names but the ones I had for them originally are terrible.) They're girlfriends who run a small café together in Nearburg.
Roxanne Feltbottom (left) and Brenda (right). Roxanne is Cliff's cousin. She thinks Cat is cute. Cat doesn't like her since... well, she reminds him too much of Cliff. Roxanne and Brenda are old friends of Biscuit's from when they were teenagers. Brenda doesn't speak or make a lot of noise, but tends to smile and nod a lot... unless you make her mad. Then she growls, barks, and bites you.
