What do Catholics Sprouts believe about the Bible?
Catholic Sprouts believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. From the beginning of Christianity, the Catholic Church defined the canon of Scripture the books you find in every Christian Bible, and defined what it meant to be a follower of Jesus Christ. Through the centuries, it’s the Catholic Church that preserved the Bible, as well as many other written works, through its monasteries and libraries.
Without the burden of afflictions it is impossible to reach the height of grace. The gift of grace increases as the struggle increases.
St. Rose of Lima
Walked in to pick up our daughter from the Kids Track at the Encounter Conference we’re attending and someone told me she was “putting kids on the floor” 😆 Context is everything. #SlainInTheSpirit 🔥 #SleeperHold No such thing as a Jr. Holy Spirit! #Encounter2020 #KidsTrack #catholickids #comeholyspirit #EncounterConference (at Encounter Ministries) https://www.instagram.com/p/B6833lwAqwI/?igshid=jd30ged1ywgr
A: Jesus. • Lk. 1:31; Mat. 1:21 CCC 430 • Jesus means in Hebrew: "God saves." At the annunciation, the angel Gabriel gave him the name Jesus as his proper name, which expresses both his identity and his mission. Since God alone can forgive sins, it is God who, in Jesus his eternal Son made man, "will save his people from their sins". in Jesus, God recapitulates all of his history of salvation on behalf of men. • #catechismforkids #catkids #catholickids #raisingcatholickids #catechismforchildren #knowyourfaith #raisingkids #parenting #catechism #inspiration #catholicyouth #youthcatholic #catholic #catholicism #homeschoolmom #bissisterhood #faithfilledparenting #wakingeve #saintwisdom #saints https://www.instagram.com/p/B0eIA_Sg1pW/?igshid=d4jgrlrq0gbe
A: Venial is a SLIGHT offense against God. • Mat. 5:19; 12:32; 1 Jn. 5:16-18 CCC1855, 1863 • Sins are rightly evaluated according to their gravity. the distinction between mortal and venial sin, already evident in Scripture, became part of the tradition of the Church. • Mortal sin destroys charity in the heart of man by a grave violation of God's law; it turns man away from God, who is his ultimate end and his beatitude, by preferring an inferior good to him. Venial sin allows charity to subsist, even though it offends and wounds it. • Venial sin weakens charity; it manifests a disordered affection for created goods; it impedes the soul's progress in the exercise of the virtues and the practice of the moral good; it merits temporal punishment. Deliberate and unrepented venial sin disposes us little by little to commit mortal sin. However venial sin does not set us in direct opposition to the will and friendship of God; it does not break the covenant with God. With God's grace it is humanly reparable. "Venial sin does not deprive the sinner of sanctifying grace, friendship with God, charity, and consequently eternal happiness." – Saint Pope John Paul II • “While he is in the flesh, man cannot help but have at least some light sins. But do not despise these sins which we call "light": if you take them for light when you weigh them, tremble when you count them. A number of light objects makes a great mass; a number of drops fills a river; a number of grains makes a heap. What then is our hope? Above all, confession.” – Saint Augustine • "Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin."There are no limits to the mercy of God, but anyone who deliberately refuses to accept his mercy by repenting, rejects the forgiveness of his sins and the salvation offered by the Holy Spirit. Such hardness of heart can lead to final impenitence and eternal loss. #Catechismforkids #catkids #catholickids #raisingcatholickids #catechismforchildren #knowyourfaith #raisingkids #parenting #catechism #inspiration #catholicyouth #youthcatholic #catholic #catholicism #homeschoolmom #bissisterhood #faithfilledparenting #wakingeve https://www.instagram.com/p/Bz9GUfSguHc/?igshid=13e8q5288jbfk
A: Yes. God loves you more than anyone in the world, and more than you could ever imagine. John 3:16 CCC 457, 458 "Sick, our nature demanded to be healed; fallen, to be raised up; dead, to rise again. We had lost the possession of the good; it was necessary for it to be given back to us. Closed in darkness, it was necessary to bring us the light; captives, we awaited a Savior; prisoners, help; slaves, a liberator. Are these things minor or insignificant? Did they not move God to descend to human nature and visit it, since humanity was in so miserable and unhappy a state?" - Saint Gregory of Nyssa The Word became flesh SO THAT we might KNOW GOD'S LOVE: "In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live THROUGH HIM." "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." #catechismforkids #catkids #catholickids #raisingcatholickids #catechismforchildren #knowyourfaith #raisingkids #parenting #catechism #inspiration #catholicyouth #youthcatholic #catholic #catholicism #homeschoolmom #bissisterhood #faithfilledparenting #wakingeve https://www.instagram.com/p/ByspfgtgJkH/?igshid=98ac7kqupixw
