Adora and Catra haven't properly seen each other in four years, after Adora was adopted from the orphanage they were both raised in. They both went on to achieve their dreams of becoming musicians in a band...just, not together. Not like they'd planned.

After years of petty snide remarks and insults on red carpets, the two finally sit down at an award show after party and talk. After many emotions are shared on that illuminated balcony outside the festivities, the two decide to give friendship another shot.

Will it be smooth sailing? Or will they fall back into their old patterns?

“Wait!” Adora called, far louder than necessary. Her voice seemed panicked, and desperate. “I’m sorry, I…we- uh,”

Catra stared at the ground, her wrist tingling underneath Adora’s fingers. “Spit it out, Princess.”

She heard the blonde sigh, as she slowly let go of Catra. “We can talk, if…if that's you want.”

Catra contemplated for a moment, unsure of what she wanted anymore. Unsure of why she'd brought Adora out here in the first place. She may have told the blonde it was closure she wanted, a conversation, a line in the sand…but in reality, all she wanted was her friend back.

I was just calmly reading a catradora fic and then my brain went “you’re gonna think about what it would be like if you had a butch girlfriend who could pick you up and make out with you in her arms now” and I was like “ah brain why”

So that’s how my last ten minutes were spent.

finally, after 11 fucking days, ive posted chapter 13. idk if its worth the wait, but i enjoyed writing it (even if it took forever. ahhh the joys of adhd and fucked up sleep schedules)

Fucking finally, after like 4 days of writers block, deleting and rewriting, and fighting my adhd bc it decided to shut my brain down yesterday and i did fuck all....chapter 10 is done! 

Chapter summary: Adora meets bow and glimmer, and they help her feel welcomed in Bright Moon. And Catra still needs therapy.
