YOU’VE CHOSEN: PATCHING UP A WOUND

yuuga doesn’t talk much. in the whole process while he put bandages and plasters all over shinsō-san, that is. ( yuuga also thinks that maybe he could start upgrading shinsō to a “kun” since he’s been in yuuga’s head before. that seems intime, non ? but he doesn’t. half because he’s expecting ashido-chan to normalise it for the rest of the class soon, the other half because yuuga still isn’t sure how exactly to gain friends and maintain them. he thinks his relationship with 1A is getting a tiny bit better especially since the cultural festival, but shinsō isn’t 1A. and he claims he doesn’t want friends. there is a discrimination there towards his quirk that he’s lost trust and faith in everybody else. yuuga wants to tell, hey! we’re kind of the same, non ? people give our quirks funny looks. i understand! but like shinsō-san’s honorific, he doesn’t say anything. )

he hums though. his throat vibrates along with a theme song to an anime that the country forgets. it was an anime before quirks even existed, and everybody in the world had creative ideas on how and why powers could come to be used on a certain individual and/or group. yuuga used to watch them only because he’s curious, and mainly because papa bought it when he should’ve been out buying milk. he pauses for a bit, discovering that the area under shinsō’s kun jaw is the last area he would have to patch. the elbows and back are already taken care of. how wonderful !! with this, shinsō-san is quickly on his way to recovery, ne ?

❝ i’m sorry, madame recovery girl didn’t heal all of your wounds, shinsō-san ! ☆ ❞

it’s the first time he speaks, his voice chirpy even if he thinks that maybe shinsō-san won’t appreciate it. after all, he’s certain shinsō-san would rather be doing all of this patchwork on his own ( someone mentioned before that he’s an image of todoroki-kun when they first started their year: stand-offish and unfriendly, and yuuga isn’t disagreeing. ) and yet yuuga has volunteered anyway. now that he’s almost done, he isn’t entirely sure why. maybe he wants to help convey that 1A isn’t as intimidating, isn’t as harsh of attitudes as bakugou-kun was being; they can be chirpy, too. kind and welcoming. and surprises are great, aren’t they ? yuuga likes surprises !
