It’s criminal how much 9-1-1 writers underutilize Athena. Like, that’s Angela Basset right there. But she just had the plane storyline. Do they realize that’s Angela Basset? Oh but she’s had so many plotlines throughout the series. That’s Angela Basset. Why is she not in every scene? But Bobby and Athena are looking for a new house. It’s Angela Basset. They should splice her in every 0.2 milliseconds like every other bitch tried to do during the Cold War Era. Now that would control the masses. I’d willingly sign up to be experimented on if it meant my brain being overloaded with subliminal messaging containing the visage of Angela Basset. It’s not psychological warfare, it’s a psychological gift.

Now that we have the full context of the Buckley parents, do you ever think about Buck and Abby? How Buck was living in the apartment of a mother and a daughter who, in spite of all of their trials, loved each other extremely fiercely? Do you think Buck laid awake at night, wondering if he would ever be able to do for his parents what Abby did for hers? Do you think Buck ever cried the possibility of having to return to being a ghost?

He and Maddie hadn’t talked for years at that point, but Maddie. He knew Maddie. Maddie would have done it in an instant. She wouldn’t have hesitated, like he did. She’s just that kind of person, strong and forgiving in the way Buck fears he could never be.

So he stayed in Abby’s apartment, even after Abby and her mother had both moved on.
