Took a smoll break from AF cuz of my bd but OF COURSE I had to join the Merle appreciation club right after because oh my god this design is just so pretty and harmony and... well the idea behind her also resonated deeply I couldn't simply not draw her. So here, have a smoll Merle to join the other great Merle arts I've seen so far <3

This was my tribute for this year’s pride month! I don't really define myself over my sexuality and it's not that important to me (anymore) but I'm glad I don't have to hide it either. The people around me love and respect me the way I am and that's one of the greatest things to experience and should be the spirit of every pride month. Be proud, be happy, love yourself but most importantly respect others no matter if they're cis, trans, straight gay or anything else or in between. We're all human, no matter the colors of our flag. <333

A sketch from sommer 2015 I wanted to color and finish. It's my husnand’s fursona and my wolf self. There are actually two reasons why I decided to draw her instead of my hyena here. I was watching Alpha and Omega, when I doodled this and just felt like drawing wolves (it's still a stupid movie, but whatever). The second reason is pretty personal. My wolf self is my old fursona I created in 1998 to express myself. Since the years as a teenager and young adult weren't the best ones of my life, my wolfess had to go through a lot with me. It happened in 2007 when my life completely changed and that change changed me and her as well. I became the hyena. A survival artist I had to become. I left my old self behind me. I was experiencing losses and great pain, when the era of my wolf ended and was already a hyena when things started to get better. My wolfess never had the chance to be happy. And I think that's sad since she's still a part of me. So I wanted to see her happy. As happy as I am with my husband and family and everything else I got :3
My wolf self is such a majestic creature. lol.
This started as an attempt to turn Zira and Kovu from TLK2 into hyenas but then I turned them into Kyzah und me. Of course I'm not like Zira but I still liked the pose and the idea, so I kept working on it. Male hyenas have low ranks in the hyena society. Even when they are the sons of the clan's queen, but to me my son will always be the king ;3
