thank you!!! yeah, the fandom is scary sometimes (every single trans Jax comment section makes me want to rip out my hair) but I like to think that I’m helping out, just a little, by not leaving. the negativity is strong in some places, but I like to think that so far I’ve created a space filled with kind people and very little cruelty or malice, and I will try my best to keep it that way as long as I can :)

it also makes me so happy that I have so many people excited for these updates. I still can’t really believe it. all of you guys are so awesome :DDDD

guys I’m so sorry abt the wait on the update but I’ve had a very tadc-avoidant month (trying to avoid spoilers for the finale (I want to include references in the comic so I had to wait), deltarune chapter five (sorrytokeepaladyinwaiting), and a stay in the netherlands for the next two weeks (im at the airport rn lol)) and I promise that the comic isn’t abandoned or anything I’m just taking my time

anyways my ask box is open again. I’m not bringing my normal drawing tools on the trip (I don’t want to lose them) but if you guys ask me any questions about canon tadc, my au (only if they don’t spoil anything), or other aus, I’ll answer! (but without a drawing :( )

i will never forget coming across this post in april.

i live in an area where mexicans are the predominant ethnic group and have witnessed my local malls, shops, construction sites, and restaurants being raided while passing them on streets and highways, seeing warnings on social media of which places in my area to avoid, and my friend’s family members being detained, deported, or choosing to self deport due to the current conditions of ice in our area. my ex even told me that he’d been stopped by police while on his way to college registration with his friends, with them asking if he was an american citizen, and then asking for his state id and social security. following this, the police continued asking him questions about him and his family’s citizenship, and it wasn’t until his counselor came to round everyone back up that they stopped and let him go. being moreno and speaking spanish with his friends during that trip loaned to him actually experiencing racial profiling and possible detainment, something “lawliet” in the above screenshots will never be forced to face. it makes me sick, the amount of self centering these people perform to victimize themselves in instances that don’t apply to them. jfc. the result of hyper inclusivity, everyone.

The thing that finally pushed me over the edge to tears, was a simple statement of inclusivity and the minimum standard of human decency and consideration that has been missing for four very long years.

I am HOH and frequently rely on CC for television watching (my ASL is typically not fluent enough for the rapid-fire translation of a speech) and this felt like being seen, recognized, and considered worthwhile as a human being.

And yes, the speeches went on to validate me: disabled, queer, a family of immigrants and racially diverse (though I myself am white, my children and spouse are not). I feel so many things that are lodged under my breastbone that I cannot truly express, except to say this is the first time I have felt acknowledged as human.

I wish you would write a fic that’s a reverse dating thing where Clint and Bucky ARE dating hut for some reason must pretend they are not and one (or both) of them struggle with it and, as usual, it would be so cool if they were IN SPACE. Because everything is better in space.

OMG SECRET DATING. I love secret dating. Not as much fun as FAKE DATING imo, but so much potential for shenanigans. Hmm...

They’re secretly dating but Bucky doesn’t want to tell the others because he wants something just for him that he doesn’t have to share, meanwhile Clint has low self-esteem so OF COURSE Bucky doesn’t want anyone to know, who can blame the guy. Ends in a very public declaration of love, some HUGE thing that Bucky plans once he realizes (via threats from Natasha) how much harm he has potentially caused. 

IN SPACE - I honestly have no idea how to work space into this unless it’s a complete AU which definitely has appeal.  What if Bucky is an astronaut and he declares his love for Clint via a very public interview? Like NASA is broadcasting ‘life on the international space station’ and the reporter asks Bucky if it’s hard to be away from the people he loves and he’s like ‘yeah, especially my boyfriend Clint, hi babe I love you so much’. Clint might literally die, hard to say. 

So actually what happened is they were secretly dating because there’s so much stigma in being queer that there was concern that it would hurt Bucky’s chances of becoming an astronaut and going to the ISS, but now that he’s there all bets are off and he’s queer in space! There’s a whole line of ‘SPACE IS FOR THE GAYS’ merch after his announcement.
