they’re only gods until you see them bleed by @rooksunday with art by @wolviecat
In 2025 I participated in @clonebang as a beta for some amazing groups! As soon as I saw the art Wolvie did for group 10's project, they're only gods until you see them bleed, I knew I had to fanbind it.
This fic primarily follows Fox, exploring clone religion, the war, existential dread, and featuring a sleep paralysis demon tooka. because of the Coruscant Guard focus I went all out with red and white, as well as using their symbol for scene breaks and the cover. One of the first pieces of art Wolvie shared with us was of an origami tooka made from a ration bar wrapper, this became a sticker that I sent to both of them with the books (and my own proudly stuck on my laptop). The art of Silent Brother and Sister Song are on the first page, with the single page comics being printed on trace paper and inserted in their respective scenes. The star of the bind is the dust-cover that decided the direction of it all (and hides my slightly wonky cover).
hello hi happy thursday! it’s posting day for @clonebang team 10 🎊✨🎉 !!
the writer is me, our artist is @wolviecat, and our beta is @neptunesenceladus and i hope you are ready for fox’s no good bad existential panic and some absolutely beautiful art that i have normal emotions about!

He felt that violent venom poison his blood, his tongue was laced with malice, he wasn’t feeling understanding, and he was far beyond being nice. “Y’know, with me workin’ with the dead and dying, I’d heard a thing… Regular folk, that when they die, they call for their mothers.” Kix’s voice was low, he might’ve not actually been speaking with how dreadful he felt, “When a trooper is dying- Well, we ain’t got mothers, and so they call for brothers,” Kix turned to look at Rex, eyes dark with that unfiltered hate, “Tell me, Captain, who did Fives ask for as he was bleeding out?”

Final illustration the accompanies the full fanfic written by the brilliant @tragedy-for-sale! It was an absolute honour to get to work on this banger of a story and this chapter really gives me the feels! Please go give it a read and give the author some love!
After being rescued from the Techno Union, Echo returns to the 501st only to find he can’t just pick up where he left off. He’s changed, and the 501st has changed. Mourning Fives and unable to piece together the truth of what happened to him, Echo finds common ground with Boil, a man also struggling to move on from his dead partner.
I’ve had an absolute blast working on art for @elthadriel’s incredible fic Adjusting to the Light, done for the 2025 run of @clonebang!
If you haven’t considered Echo and Boil as a pairing before, I really encourage you to give this a read. Two men who’ve lost half of their own personal world, finding surprising solace with each other and reevaluating life in the process. Moving on isn’t always pretty, and sometimes healing takes a shift in perspective. When you’ve been in the dark for a long time, stepping into the sunlight hurts at first.
So stay tuned for the full release in December, as well as for the rest of the amazing fic and art made for the event!

Welcome one and all to the promo post for my @clonebang 2025 fic, coming to you this December. My amazing teammate will be @bulletproofskoll.
Featuring Bacara and the mandatory leave he absolutely does not want to be on, Fox and the "I have a very bad feeling about this but I'm going to keep pushing on anyway," and Dogma and perhaps the worst day of his life, which is saying a lot because this is post Umbara.
They get lost on the lowest levels of Coruscant together.
Parings: Bacara/Fox, past Bacara/Ponds
Bacara slid off the stool and went after him. At first, Fox did not seem to notice or care, but a little ways out onto the platform outside the door of the bar, he stopped and turned. “What do you want?”
“You know, I was told to pester you.”
Immediately Fox's already perfect posture went ramrod straight, so quickly Bacara winced. His back would not thank him for that. “Is that so?” Fox asked, voice cold enough Bacara thought there might be ice crystals inside his bucket when he breathed out.
“No, I mean, by Wolffe,” Bacara said. “When I asked what to do on leave.”
Fox's bucket tilted, but at least he no longer looked like he was about to snap his own spine through tension. “By Wolffe?” he asked, and his voice changed, almost warming back up to room temperature at Wolffe’s name. “The 104th doesn't have anyone on leave.” He gave Bacara's bare face a long look. “The Marines are here, though.”
“Do you keep track of us, Fox?” Bacara asked, a little surprised, because that was outside the Coruscant Guard's purview. Clones on leave technically fell under the Coruscant Security Forces, as the Guard's main mission was to protect the Senate and government buildings.
Though Bacara heard that had recently been expanded to the prison on Coruscant as well. He supposed that was a government building, if you stretched the definition past the point of good sense.
The question seemed to make Fox uncomfortable, though nothing like he had been earlier, when Bacara stupidly said he had been sent to pester him. “Sometimes,” he said, an attempted dodge.
“Has it really been that long since Kamino?” Bacara asked.
“We talked three times,” Fox said. “It's not like we were close, or have gotten any closer since.”
“Oddly specific and accurate memory of the times you talked to someone you weren't close to,” Bacara said dryly.
Fox shrugged. “Have a nice leave, Bacara,” and that time when he started walking, Bacara stayed where he was, swaying slightly on the platform outside the club. Brothers were everywhere, taking taxis and speeders, and he eyed some of the speeders up, vaguely comparing them to the BARCs he and Neyo ran in the field.
But standing there wasn't getting him anywhere, and he still was alone on Coruscant. The drinks hadn't helped at all.
The next time he was up for mandatory leave, he was going to insist on Scarif. The tiny resort there could surely handle half a battalion of clones.

Against the odds and all the obstacles, both of them having given their very lives for the greater good of the clonehood, they still thrived being very much… alive.
Snippet:
Hey, it’s um… I am a patient here to.”
“You are?” He tried to squint but he could not see the face of the one talking to him.
“Are you… can’t you see?”
“No, I… I think I have a vision impairment.”
“You… think?”
“I cannot be sure. I have no memory of… the past.”
“Oh. Sorry.”
“It is alright. I have… gotten used to my situation by now.”
There was a spell of silence and then, the other one spoke again, as if having contemplated for a spell.
“You’re a clone too?”
“I… am not sure. What, is a clone?”
“You know, a trooper, created for the war… all that.”
“I am sorry. I do not remember.”
“Oh-kay, well, then… can you walk?”
“I am not sure? I was in a lot of pain.”
He could feel the other touching him now, as if assessing his condition, then he heard the typing of keys.
“I can see you had some heavy duty damage there, friend. But, you are on the mend according to the files.”
“I see.”
“Yeah, well, if you feel like it, you could come with me.”
“Where are we going?”
“Away.”
“Away? As in from here?”
“Yeah, that is the general idea.” There was a low chuckle just then.
“Alright, if you want me to come with you, then I shall.”
