Whelp. I’m on an cc weeding spree. That title makes me feel better about it...in the meantime, enjoy James being wrongfully hot and Liberty being cute.

gosh I love how easy it is to reorganize cc these days. just spent a few hours reorganizing my skin details into a more intuitive variety of categories. no more struggling to find my cleavage overlays or body freckles or stretch marks. if I'm looking for an eyelid overlay, it's under eye details, if I need a skin detail blush it's under cheek details, lip overlays are under lip details, hairlines and edges are under brow details, etc. It's not all one big random mess in the skin details (face) category anymore. it's all organized now, I love it. I can actually FIND things now lmao

When you just downloaded a bunch of new cc and have batch fixes running but opened Tumblr again and immediately found moar cc you neeeeed!

Do you have any tips for how to manage a game with a lot of custom content in it?

Oh well, I try my best to do this very thing myself and my game is...playable? Definitely laggy. 11.7GB is a lot for my compu...

Anyway you can start by checking out all the advice here.

Other than all that my own advice is to try to limit yourself. Yes, apparently almost 12gb of cc is me limiting myself....*shifts eyes and whistles*. I have my browser set to send downloads to a special folder which I call ‘uncategorized cc’. The goal is to take the cc there and sift through it so I can THEN actually install it in game. This lets me download lots more stuff but not let it get to my game (6GB worth in that folder). I also try to take out cc once I’m done using it, or disabling cc from ages I don’t have at the moment like kids or elders.

Anyway it’s the one thing I can say that’s not mentioned in the posts in the link. I really encourage reading those. Lots of useful tips and programs you can use to ease things. I use some of those myself.

I have a hoarding problem...

My laptop has just begun to give me some warning signs of imminent malfunction. I finished organizing and sorting my Downloads folder just a couple weeks ago (and it took me over two months). 

So, considering my horrible history with portable hard drives and that I have over 30 GB free in my Google Drive account, I decided to create an online backup. 

This is the first time I look at the size of my folder: 14.1 GB, WHAT THE FUCK SIMGAROOP!!! 

However, in my defense, I haven’t compressed anything yet and I have a lot of “themed” folders that I can take out if I want to play a regular hood. But still... I have a lot of stuff. 

Will I ever play a light game? How do manage it, guys?

Just in case anyone asks: No, I won’t share my Downloads folder, in order to respect the wishes  and terms of use of some of the free creators from whom I’ve downloaded CC.
