Sakura eyed the storm raging outside, she sat beside Sasuke in the shallow cave, it wasn’t deep but it was just enough that they were sheltered from the wind and rain. “I love storms..they are beautiful in a way” She commented as she saw lightening flash across the dark grey sky, it reminded her of Sasuke’s chidori.

It had taken a while and tons of therapy but she no longer had nightmares about when he had put her in a genjutsu and had used that ninjutsu on her. She could think back on it with a bit of anxiousness but no longer any bad nightmares. Plus she never forgave him because there wasn’t anything to forgive in her opinion, she was never angry at him, she had known he had really been going through it back then. She had however been irritated in ways. But now he had come a long way.

She eyed him as he sat beside her. She didn’t fear him now, not even a little. She was on this journey with him, and currently they were on their way to deliver a birthday gift to Tsunade but had been caught up in the storm. Sakura was in no rush. How could she be when she was with Sasuke.

Happy Birthday Haruhi 2022

Haruhi smiled and followed along side her father. It was nice to have him home for her birthday, and even more so that they were going to spend some time together. She knows how busy he is, but it is still a nice and wholesome feeling to have her father with her on her special day.

“Mama would love that, Papa! I can tell she’s been really stressed lately. That sounds like a great idea.” She leaned in a little closer and whispered, “Don’t tell her I told you, but she’s been wanting some alone time with you. I think she’s getting jealous of all the looks you get.” Which even Sarada noticed, which was yucky in her opinion. It was weird seeing people wanting to be with her dad.

Itachi said jokingly. Sasuke was always a cute child and Itachi always loved spending time with him. Even now that he became Hokage, he always found time for his brother. And yet, he didn't notice how little Sasuke got older.

"Don't worry Sasuke. Your secret will die with me."

Itachi smiled and flicked his brother's forehead with a familiar gesture.

“Will you stop telling the others that you’re my favorite student?”  

Sure, it may have been a bit true, since Sasuke reminded Kakashi of his past self more than the other two.  Yet, he did respect the other two students too.  Even if it could be difficult looking at Naruto sometimes when he looked so much like Kakashi’s deceased sensei.  He was getting tired of the other two popping up though to ask if they were his favorite when all he wanted to do was reread his book again.
