in this story scrooge doesn’t want to spend christmas with his family so he tells them he’s going to his cabin in the mountains but actually hides out in his unheated house all by himself and then people assume he must be a burglar or homeless person seeking shelter there and he can’t tell them otherwise and anyway. relatable. and also blanket burritos.

good job dealing with nostalgia in a fun and healthy way, scrooge, good job keeping your memories alive without entirely retreating into them and neglecting to make new ones with your family, scrooge, good job sharing and not isolating yourself, proud of you

also here’s a pic of scrooge fretting over whether donald will like his christmas present that i’ve been obsessed with ever since @ankkalinna sent it to me... he spends a lot of time quietly distressed about being a bad gift-giver in this story and the moment donald likes it he just goes back to being tsundere
