UPDATE:

I just wanted to let everyone who follows and still checks up on this blog that it’s not dead. 

Life happened and working to piece things back together how how it was left. So literally working back to the last post in August of 2017 (yeah... I know). The way I do it is very specific to bring the best quality I can and if anyone thinks they can help but for the most part it’ll take some time. Hopefully be back like normal hopefully by the 1st / 3rd week of the regular season.

Alot happened last season and the MLS calendar has genuinely surprised me on how fast the new season has comeback. 

BUT LET ME TELL YALL.... WE’RE MLS CUP CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD AND WEEEEEE READY! 

But once again to all the followers and folks who are still liking things and reblogging things. I can’t explain to you guys how much seeing this team succeed, people (in general) and people around the world talk about this team and how much the MLS has come and still has to go! I’m proud of the people who help build this amazing club to what it is today. 

Thank you guys so much and I can’t wait to be back in the mix of things!

Atlanta United announced Tuesday (August 8) it has acquired defender Bobby Boswell from D.C. United in exchange for a 3rd Round Draft Pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft.

August 8, 2017: Zach Loyd placed on season-ending injury list

Atlanta United announced today that defender Zach Loyd has been placed on the season-ending injury list. Loyd made one appearance for Atlanta this season, starting and playing 45 minutes in Atlanta’s 3-2 win over the Charleston Battery on June 14 in U.S. Open Cup play.

August 8, 2017: Atlanta United Acquires $75,000 in Targeted Allocation Money

Atlanta United has acquired $75,000 in Targeted Allocation Money from San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for a 2017 international roster spot. The roster spot will return to Atlanta on Jan. 1, 2018.

Atlanta United acquires Bobby Boswell from D.C. United | August 9, 2017 

Atlanta United announced August 8th it has acquired defender Bobby Boswell from D.C. United in exchange for a 3rd Round Draft Pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft.

- Boswell, 34, has 365 career MLS appearances and 360 starts between two stints with D.C. United and Houston Dynamo. In his 12-year career, Boswell has only missed MLS Cup Playoffs one time. - He’s a two-time MLS Best XI selection (2006 and 2014), two-time Supporters’ Shield winner (2006 and 2007) and was the 2006 MLS Defender of the Year. He’s also appeared in two MLS Cups with Houston in 2011 and 2012. Internationally, Boswell has made three appearances for the U.S. Men’s National Team.

This season, Boswell has started 10 games and has scored one goal. He’s been with D.C. United since the 2014 season where he was picked up in the Re-Entry Draft from Houston Dynamo. Prior to that, he anchored Houston’s defense from 2008-2013, helping the Dynamo reach MLS Cup Playoffs in five of those seasons. 

Before Houston, Boswell started his career with D.C. United in 2005 despite not being selected in that year’s MLS SuperDraft. In three seasons during his first stint with D.C. United, they won two Supporters’ Shields and one Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

Atlanta United’s Zach Loyd placed on season-ending injury list | August 9, 2017

Atlanta United announced on Tuesday (August 8th) that defender Zach Loyd has been placed on the season-ending injury list.

Loyd made one appearance for Atlanta this season, starting and playing 45 minutes in Atlanta’s 3-2 win over the Charleston Battery on June 14 in U.S. Open Cup play. Loyd made 180 MLS appearances, 168 starts, with FC Dallas from 2010-2016.
