“Right, so, Laura and Tom don’t really have a scene together until page 22. Before that, their mom is with them too. I feel like they don’t really know how to talk to each other much. Or that Tom doesn’t know how to talk to Laura and she just wants to be friends. They have an interesting relationship. Do we want to just do this first scene? To try and get a feel for what is going on in their relationship? It’s just after he’s had a fight with their mother, so it feels like an interesting and dynamic scene.”

Candace glanced up and gave Edward a small smile. They didn’t know each other well, but they were about to play brother and sister. She supposed that was her favorite part of acting: meeting new people. Understanding how people worked, getting in someone else’s head. After all, someone else was always more interesting and usually better than Candace. Especially if they were the heroes, but even the antagonists sometimes. At least they were interesting. At least they usually went after the things that they wanted.

Neither of which Candace really was or was good at.
