During their time in Hope's Peak, they can both fulfill each other's wants. Celeste wants to be served and Kirumi wants to serve. Kirumi is also essentially a female version of Celeste's ideal butler. They have one interaction in UTDP. Celeste also brings up Kirumi in a conversation with Hifumi during UTDP as well. While Celeste specifically says she will only be served by handsome men, she does not say relationships with women are off the table. Kirumi would eventually become Prime Minister and couldn't serve her forever.

They both enjoy tea and Victorian fashion. Celeste also likes many rose-related items, such as the Rose Whip, Rose Hip Tea, and Rose in Vitro, and Kirumi's execution involved climbing a long rose stem.
