I guess a question is how Celestia feels about Discord's newfound freedom?

Initially, she was in panic mode. Her ex (who also happens to be a reality-warping eldritch magic abomination) is back after hundreds of years and ruining her kingdom. She knows very well how much destruction he's capable of, so she wanted him taken out asap.

Even after Discord is subdued and redeemed, she's still not lowering her guard for a while. Of course, that doesn't dissuade Discord, who wants her back LOL

They didn't have any children when they were married, but maybe in the future.......!!

Oh yeah she knows it's him! She knew him when he 'became' Discord, after all. It's just been a while since she sealed him away.

I think it was a classic case of a control freak and party animal thinking they could balance each other out and loving each other's 'quirks' until it started to grate on both of them? Opposites don't always attract...or they do for a while, but not forever!
