its so refreshing seeing the yoi fandom have hope again with all the little changes they've been doing but the ideas some of y'all are putting in ur heads for what they'll do next is ridiculous

ice adolescence is officially cancelled as a project and there is no way in hell they'd ever animate the chihoko incident both considering how it was originally brought up and with what happens in it 😭😭😭

#celestxt #i need them to have another baby or something this 20th anniversary has been lacking imo #a lot of the merch is good but that's been a majority of the celebration #like 2022 felt like the best time to be into cg n that was just bc genesic and lost were up at the same time for a moment

i personally don't understand the amount of hatred i've seen for the recent rose of versailles movie, considering the fact that they summarized a whole 14 volume / 40 episode anime in just 2 hours is honestly rly impressive

this is not to say any criticism for it is invalid (RIP proper rosalie screentime & the backstory for why lady oscar has this role in the first place, you're not going to understand this movie properly unless ur already familiar with this series; think of it more like a tribute / anniversary special) but still this is one of the first animations fully released for this iconic manga in literal DECADES, i still think that in & of itself is something to celebrate

#also like of course some stuff with minor characters is going to be left out girl they dont have the time for this to be in 1 movie #also i actually like the animation n music for the series #sawano hiroyuki is an AMAZING composer but he does more electronic music so of course it sounds diff than what ppl expect #+ having an ex takarazuka member sing the opening song is fucking awesome #do agree tho that the AMV style choice for the musical numbers was a cowards way to do it #this is a problem most movie-musicals have tho #i personally think the best way to do it is just to go all out n incorporate it into the scene; all or nothing yk #anyways i enjoyed it n ppl who never saw this series expecting it to be only yuri r kinda dumb (no offense)#i just kinda hope at least the attention from this movie makes ppl realize how much a series reboot is vv much needed for this series #esp considering its impact on shojou / anime as a whole yk #rose of versailles #versailles no bara #spoilers #movie spoilers #celestxt

im ngl anybody who seems to have violent hate / disappointment in the new CG AU spinoff anime despite it Just being a poster kinda pisses me off

even starting from akito I feel it's been pretty apparent that all the new anime coming from the CG franchise they want to make moreso as new stories w/ new characters n esp move on from Lelouch as a character since his story is finished

u can def tell tho they did put themselves into a rough spot since there are a majority of people who only like lelouch of the rebellion or Lelouch as a character (myself Partially included as well; i do think most ppl should just watch LOTR along w its side content esp the dramas n only watch the rest if they're that INSANE abt the series n worldbuilding n like AUs, however a lot of ppl including some of the writing in these AU stories seem to morph lelouchs character into something it wasn't & I wouldn't rly declare myself a full on lelouch fangirl like a lot of ppl but that might be a whole other conversation)

however the way I see a lot of ppl talk about it online just makes it seem like 'Everything New Is Bad' which I have to disagree with both for code geass & just as a concept as a whole

yes, a lot of the spinoffs esp the recent animated ones like the resurrection movie & Roze are messy w/ their own faults but that doesn't mean they both can't learn from mistakes n build off a new identity

also im sorry that poster was fuckin GORGEOUS loruas artwork is beautiful I recommend going their their Tumblr to see their original design work ( @/rolua ), while I am heartbroken like most other people that none of the LOTR now won't be working on this new project esp the character designers but i trust this artist's works (their intricate rendering detail reminds me vvv slightly of whoopins work which makes me think they're doing a story w some of Genesic's aesthetic which if so IM SO PUMPED FOR I LOVED THE ART STYLE N CELESTIAL THEMEING IN SOME ASPECTS OF THE GAME LOOK AT MY FUCKING NAME LMAO)

anyways yeah im vv interested in this new series and any yuri potential it might have like roze did lol

#celestxt #code geass #also I couldn't find a good place to write this down but I actually don't mind some of the new characters they put in #which is why I esp don't mind these spinoffs #a lot of em sadly do struggle with establishing their characters #a lot of the reason I felt roze couldn't do what it wanted was bc it didn't have enough time both in EP length n development #so we couldn't get to know the characters that well #so bc of that I hope they take their sweet time on this new anime to learn from roze #also when roze was announced for the 15th anniversary the poster was just a sketch n ppl got excited for it being Colored In #so since this one's alrd finished that tells me they have a bit more of a plan for this one at least visually
