First and foremost I have to say a huge thank you to my family: my dad @taoestreich76 for towing the car and my stepdad Randy for letting me use the shop, his lift, and custom welding an under hood engine support for me! The car has a ton of oil leaks and is covered in grime and nastiness, but while I was working on getting the transmission out, we discovered that the shift fork is not secure in the throwout bearing. Which is why I can’t get the car out of gear when it’s running! I only had a short amount of time to work on the car this weekend, but the transmission is almost out. I’m not in a rush though and I’m going to take my time going through cleaning and inspecting each part meticulously. I’m so ecstatic to give this car some much needed love and have it back on the road after the winter months.
