I'm not dead, I swear.
Been reading like crazy... Already finished the Kate Daniels series (well, read the 5 books they've already written so far)... and I finished "On the Edge". 7 books through Nalini Singh's Psy-Changeling series... I'm trying to like Gena Showalter... but so far, I'm a little dissapointed (shakes fist at Ilona Andrews and Nalini Singh for ruining her for other authors).
I got halfway through "Playing With Fire" and got bored, so I tried the second novel in the Atlantis series, "Jewel of Atlantis" but I'm getting bored of that one too (-shudders- I would never EVER read out of chronological order willingly... I thought that the books were standalone-able, but I assumed wrong. A good 25% of the book is in reaction/referring to the events in the first book, so I feel like an idiot out of the loop on the inside joke). Somehow pervy!gray's lust for jewel is supposed to equal love? I don't like it. I was intrigued by the beginning but the middle is SOOO slow. Jewel's current materialism is a little annoying... I don't know how Gray can be so turned on by her enthusiasm for pretty things. I'm a bit bitter I guess, just ignore me HAHA. I guess I'm spoiled by Singh and Andrews' flawless characterization and narratives... damn it!
