The "Star Trek Through the Years" piece we're playing for our next concert presents the themes out of chronological televised order, and this bothers me.
Will vibrato practice ever not look like you’re trying to jerk off your cello?
My Year of Art day 337
I just got a shipment of a few new rosins. Now I want to wash all of my bows and start testing. Is this a valid reason to call in to work? If only. The experiments will have to wait until tomorrow evening. At least it'll make my day go by with something to look forward to. - Beckett 6-8-17
me, watching a string quartet in the background of a scene: they’re faking playing, some of them not very well. c’mon, it’s not that hard to learn the basics
me, with my cello during actual rehearsal: *loses count during a long rest* it’s okay I’ve got this *drops bow*
That moment when the piece you are currently learning for cello has the same beginning chords as a song from a musical. I can't stop hearing "no please no not tonight no mister can't you go not tonight can't have a scene" from 'La Vie Boheme' every time I listen to it.
*attempts to play the Dvořák concerto*
Quasi improvisando: listen to this beautiful music! everyone loves the cello!
