Intro: What's this page about?
Im at 6th form at the moment in the UK doing A LEVELS in year 12. Studying, Statistics, Core Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Literature.
In tutor about a day ago, my tutor advised the class to start a blog on a subject area that we were considering pursuing at university level, to support us when we do apply. So i thought I'd create a blog on Science! As i am hoping to study Chemical Engineering at university (guaranteed this will probably change by next year). On this blog, i will post anything i have read recently that has contributed towards my academic reading for school (that is associated with science), or maybe just pictures or articles i find interesting!
Also when i get time, i am hoping to post blogs myself onto this page. in these posts i will include a summary of what I'm learning at the moment in both my sciences, Biology and chemistry, things that are working well for me in my revision and things i am looking out for. For example, i have found out in the past month, that the revision guides your school gives you may not actually be right!! So mark schemes are the holy grail when it comes to revision really.
So yeah, hopefully this blog will allow me to recap on my subjects, helping me as it will count as revision, and hopefully help you if you are seeking advice about your courses!
Please feel free to comment on posts, and start up discussions about particular subject areas that you're struggling to get your head around, because guaranteed there will be someone out there that can help you!
NOTE - the exam board my school is with for Biology and Chemistry is OCR. If i ever reference revision guides, it will either be one provided by the exam board, or a CGP guide.
Remember: Revision guides aren't as trustworthy as you think!!!!!
