absolutely obsessed with ilisidi and cenedi. she's older than dirt and has probably assassinated her husband and son. hell, cenedi is probably the one who carried it out. ilisidi and cenedi probably half-raised tabini, given that familiarity. that must've been one hell of a household. ilisidi is described as being super old, hair fully white, short af for an atevi. cenedi is described as having salt and pepper hair. he's definitely younger than her. he's one of her 'young men' but he's no longer young, though he'll continue to act like he can take anything. he's been at her side basically forever and will continue to be there forever. the least important thing about this relationship is that they have sex. they don't always agree on everything. she's tiny and frail but WILL poison anyone and cannily politically maneuver, all while verbally flaying people open with surgical precision. he's her shadow, basically her assassin butler. she can depend on him for anything. he's so bonded to her that he will go crazy and die if she dies. they're soulmates.

One of my favorite scenes in the Foreigner series is during the 8th or 9th book (can't remember 😭) when Cajeiri is kidnapped by Lord Caiti and so Bren, Ilisidi, and staff are riding the old-ass bus to Malguri in a snowstorm and Bren is trying to convince himself that everything is fine, and the driving is not so bad, and the roads are probably fine, he's just nervous, it's really not so bad… And then the driver hits a curve, Cenedi jumps up to cuss out the bus driver, and Bren is like "oh so it's not just me. oh fuck"
