Real Life Community

Last year I made an attempt to start an Atheist discussion group, but the turn out was poor. However, since then interest online in this local group has grown.

Yesterday, I met with a couple like minded individuals who are also motivated in creating a community and want to help revitalize my efforts. The three of us share the long term goal to create community/non-profit organization that will replace religious institutions in the community. This will be done by offering people an organized sense of community and belonging, as well as engaging in humanitarian, charity, and community service work.

If you live in the Central NY area, please feel free to join us. We have reserved a meeting room at the Dunkin’ Donuts at 6584 Thompson rd. Syracuse, N.Y.. We will be starting out with open discussion, and possibly give talks on related topics, and move on from there. We are expecting a small turnout at first, but hopefully this will grow into something significant for the Syracuse Area.
