blurb week!
“why are you doing this?” you asked, looking around the empty office, grateful that no one else was here to hear you get dumped.
“it’s so obvious that he’s in love with you.” he said, scoffing at your obliviousness.
“who?”
“ask your boss, goodbye y/n.” you sniffled as he hung up the phone, covering your face with your hands.
you pushed yourself away from your desk, heading to harrison’s office and knocking softly.
“come in.” he mumbled. you pushed open the door, smiling at him sadly.
“what are you still doing here, i thought you left already.” you shook your head.
“can i talk to you?” you asked, wiping away the stray tear that rolled down your cheek. he noticed before you managed to hide it, concern growing in his stomach.
“what happened?” he asked.
“he broke up with me.” harrison frowned, opening his arms and wrapping them around you. he stroked his hand over your hair.
“i’m sorry.” he whispered. you shook your head, pulling back and trying to convince him you were okay.
“it’s fine i guess, he said i was too involved with my work.” harrison chuckled, nodding his head.
“you are here more than me, and i do ask you to do quite a lot for me.”
“he also said, um-“ you paused. “that i had to ask you something.”
“go ahead.” he said.
“he said to ask you about someone being in love with me.” his eyes widened slightly.
“you’re not a very good assistant you know.” he tried to deter the conversation. your face fell, tears building in your eyes thinking he was disappointed in you.
“i’m not?” you asked, frowning. he chuckled, shaking his head.
“no, you're very distracting.” he said. “but in a good way.” he pulled you in by your waist, smashing his lips onto yours. they molded together, your hands slipping into his hair as your kisses got more urgent.
“harrison, wait.” you said breathlessly, pushing his shoulder.
“what’s wrong?” he asked, searching your eyes for any form of discomfort.
“what are you doing?” you asked
“he was right y/n, i’m the one that’s in love with you.” your eyes widened, your heart beating faster and faster by the second.
“but, my job and-“ he shook his head.
“nothing has to change, i’ve loved you for a while anyway.”
Ceo!Haz being a haughty bastard with everyone until his little nephew comes in his office babbling random words and Haz's elder brother comes in searching for his son and there he finds Haz cuddling the baby boy and tells him to make his own bc they can give an enormous joy? And Haz comes home and tells his gf that he wants a kiddo!
I changed it a little bit to make it flow smoother. :p

Harrison was arrogant as fuck. He knew he couldn't be beat, couldn't be fired, he was the best of the best and he knew it. Everyone knew it. Even his brother who visited the office often, oftentimes resorting to the spare office for his own work. And sometimes, little Gio accompanied his father.
Harrison wasn't nearly as ballsy about policing people who knock at his door when his older brother and nephew were over. Especially when there's little knocks at the door, something Gio does every once in a while when he wanders from his father.
Harrison stands, rounding his desk and pulling the door open. He smiles down at the little boy that wanders in, babbling away as he stumbles through the new room. Harrison chuckles, closing the door,
"'Scuse me sir, don't think I invited you inside. Can I help you with somethin?" Harrison jokes as Gio wanders the room, smacking his hands against the glass as he continues to babble, squealing as he rambles. Haz sits in his chair, wheeling it over,
"Like the view G?" The little boy turns, holding his arms up for his uncle who scoops him up without so much as thinking about it. Gio lays back against Harrison, snuggling into him after a moment. The CEO closes his eyes, holding Gio closes. He instantly feels calm, wondering what it would be like to have his own, to talk you into having a baby like Gio. Gio is at that age where he's starting to be fun, starting to give his parents a run for their money and Harrison knew he needed that distraction. He wanted that distraction.
"You can't take him home." Harrison's brother breaks the silence. He opens his eyes, glancing up,
"He's soothing. I didn't know how easy it was to forget all the crap til he comes wanderin in here." Harrison tells him. His brother chuckles,
"He's pretty amazing. A lot of fun, a lot of happiness. You ever thought about having one?"
"I'm thinkin about it now." He states. His brother laughs again,
"I just... Y/N and I are really stable right now and I love her to death. I'd love to see our baby."
"So ask." His brother poses. Harrison nods, holding Gio closer it seems, holding his phone towards the little boy's feet who seems to babble incoherently and play with Harrison's tie, a notion that has Harrison's heart softening. He can see your baby, he can see you bringing this chubby little thing in to see him throughout the day and he loves the idea. He wants one.
"We gotta talk about something SERIOUS when I get home. And it's the exact opposite of breaking up. Just be prepared :)" is the text he sends you, ready to pose the idea, ready to change the game. Because he knows it's the distraction you both need. And who better to take on this journey with then you?
Can we get another blurb of CEO!Haz x Assistant!reader? That’s my new kink, like maybe how they got together?
Okay I went off right here and it’s smutty so enjoy

______
The piles of paper on your desk had now doubled in front of you as the men and women in charge passed by your desk on their way to a meeting. You were hired on as an assistant to Mr. Harrison Osterfield, the CEO of the company, but most of the other big names in the business used you as their personal bitch. Mr. Osterfield had barely ever talked to you and barely gave you any work, it always seemed that he was ignoring you. If he didn’t need you then why pay you so much to be here?
You groaned as you scanned through all the folders to find Mr. Osterfield’s so that you would at least have his work done. You filed his papers and entered his important things into the database, your mind is a numb state as you did this every day for the past four months. Once you were done you looked to the pile and decided you needed to deliver the rest to the other assistants.
“Nancy, I’m gonna run this down to the sixteenth floor. If Mr. Osterfield asks, I’ll be back soon.” You turn to the woman next to you and she scoffs.
“As if he’d notice.”
Harsh, but true. Since you started he’d only say hello to you a handful of times and only spoke to you when really he needed something. You gathered the stack of papers and went to the elevator and pushed the button. You stood against the wall of the lift and watched the doors close, a sigh leaving your lips. Suddenly, a hand shot through the opening and tapped the door to open again.
“Sorry, couldn’t wait for the next.” He says as he enters.
Your breath gets caught in your throat at you watch Mr. Osterfield enter the lift. It was only the two of you in the small space and your nerves were getting the best of you. Redness appeared on your cheeks as you flattened the papers against your chest. Your mouth felt dry as you tried to find words. He was wearing a fitted grey suit that made you go crazy. It made his eyes pop more than usual and he looked like a model.
“It’s fine. How are you Mr. Osterfield?” You say, your mouth drying as you spoke.
“An average day so far.”
He leans against the back wall and stares at you, his icy blue eyes looking absolutely stunning. It would be a lie if you said you weren’t attracted to him. All the women, and some of the men, in the office were head over heels infatuated with him. He was beautiful, fit, and powerful. He was one of the youngest CEO’s in Britain and he handled it so well. So much pressure for a young man but he kept himself level-headed amongst it all. You sighed, looking away from him and eyeing the number change as it went down another floor.
There was a sudden jolt in the lift, knocking you off your feet and papers to fly everywhere. Mr. Osterfield held onto the railing, his eyes wide in surprise as the elevator came to a full stop. The lights flickered for a few moments but then became dim. You thought had died for a moment, a hand over your heart and your eyes instantly watering.
“It’s alright Y/N, the lift is just got stuck.” His voice is smooth as he places a hand on your shoulder.
“Like stuck? Like stuck stuck?” You ask.
“Appears so.”
He motions to the screen at the top of the elevator that was now broken and showing random red lines. You groaned, scrambling to pick up the papers off the ground. This was truly your worst nightmare and greatest dream rolled into one. Being stuck a lift was as pleasurable as drinking bleach. But being stuck in a lift with the most attractive man you’ve ever seen? Now that’s worth something. Harrison kneels down to grab the papers, his eyes fixated on you with a small smile. His hand brushes over yours as he hands you the rest of the papers, your face reddens further.
“T-thanks.” You stutter as you rise to your feet.
“Are you alright? Are you claustrophobic?”
His voice is soft, he brings a hand up to your face and cups your cheek. You felt like your entire body was on fire. His eyes cut right through you and made your mind go blank. You couldn’t think of words, all you could focus on was his lips that were so close to yours.
“I’m fine.” You say and pull away from his touch. “Just a little nervous. I’m stuck in a lift with my boss. It’s kinda like a bad dream.”
“Oh,”
He looks away from you and something changes in him. He becomes stiff and he scratches the back of his head.
“Not like you’re bad or anything!” You stumble over your words. “It’s just you’re my boss Mr. Osterfield and I’ve felt like you never liked me anyway so it’s just really awkward for me.”
“Harrison.”
“Excuse me?”
He turns with a smirk, taking steps so he’s right against the front of you. His hot breath hits the skin of your neck as he bows his head down to your ear.
“My name is Harrison. Call me by my first name.” His voice is sultry as his hand pushes away the loose hairs from your face. “I don’t know what I ever did to make you think I don’t like you because that simply isn’t true. I like you a lot.”
“I mean you never say hello to me and you never ask for much from me. I assumed that you didn’t like me.”
There’s a long pause after you spoke. You didn’t move though, you barely breathed. You waited for him to speak and the tension was killing you. You turn your head slightly to meet his eyes which were dark.
“That’s because if I talk to you I won’t want to stop. You are truly the most irresistible person I’ve ever met and I’ve wanted you since the first time you walked into my office for your interview.”
You didn’t even respond. You took his face in your hands and brought your lips against his. Papers flew around the two of you again but you didn’t care, you’ve waited months for this. The kiss was passionate and hot, his lips came towards you at the same needy pace. Harrison takes a hold of your thighs and picks you up, pressing your back against the wall. You raked your fingers through his hair, now messing up the perfectly gelled look he had, slight groans leaving his lips as you tugged at the strands. Harrison pressed himself against you, his hands massaging your ass through your skirt. For a second you pull away and the reality of the situation hits you.
“This is really inappropriate.” You say, kissing his neck.
“Very much so,” He laughs as he hikes your skirt over your hips showing off your lacy thong. “But I can’t get enough of you.”
“Shut up and touch me, Harrison.”
There was a switch in his eyes. What was before playful was now a submissive lust, Harrison pulls the material aside and plays with your folds. You kept moans contained, not wanting to give him any satisfaction yet. His lips attack your neck while your hands softly pet his head, encouraging him to do more. He dips two fingers in and then makes a noise of satisfaction.
“Do I make you this wet all the time baby?” He chuckles as he slowly pumps, your head is thrown back in pleasure.
“Only when you wear grey.”
You pull at his suit jacket to bring him closer. He nips at your neck which will surely leave a mark that needed to be cover. You undo a few of his shirt buttons to expose his toned body. Harrison continued to move his fingers inside of you as he took his time to reach your g-spot. He loved the way your eyes rolled back when he curled his fingers inside of you and your voice became shaky.
“Fuck, you’re so good, Harrison.” You whimper, pulling at his hair more.
Just as it was getting more heated, the lift made another jolting movement. Harrison kept the two of you leveled against the wall, panic coming to both of your faces. As you were about to push him away, Harrison plunges his fingers deeper and scissoring them inside to intensify the need in you.
“Harrison someone might-“
Harrison dropped to his knees, his mouth going your heat and darting between your folds as your fingers worked quickly inside of you. It felt like heaven - even better actually. Your body was on fire and moans that sounded like screams left your mouth. Pleads to make you cum left your lips which Harrison obliged. Harrison curled his fingers, hitting the spot you needed which allowed you to release all over his hand.
“Harrison!” You choke out as you rode out your wave of pleasure.
You were in a daze for a second, all you could see was Harrison standing up and licking his fingers clean and the buttoning himself back up. You tried to stand up but kept your balance by leaning on the railing and pulling down your skirt. Harrison picks up the papers from the ground and looks at you just as the lift opens to your floor.
“So Ms. Y/N, I’ll see you in my office after your lunch break?” He says with a coy smile.
“Of course Mr. Osterfield. I have a lot of papers that need your approval and maybe I can help you with that business plan.” Your eyes motioned to his concealed, yet harden, member in his trousers.
He laughs and watches you leave the lift, his heart still pounding from being able to kiss you and pleasure you like that.
“Sounds like a deal. I’m looking forward to it.”
You walk away but Harrison still has the biggest smile on his face. He looks at the lift buttons and presses the original floor he was on. You didn’t have to know that he only got on the ride to talk to you. Not yet that is.
Summary: You’re finishing your last year of university in London, and what better way do to that than with an internship at Holland and Osterfield’s?
Warnings: Brief mention of death, I guess?
A/N: I realized that I fricked up the dates, so this will December 7th and not December 24th like mentioned previously. I honestly forgot about Christmas. Oops. I also want to clarify that I adore Paddy and Tom’s parents, but this is just how the story ended up going so... Please, don’t hate me ☺︎

ONCE FRIDAY ROLLS AROUND, you’re barely able to contain your nerves. Cecelia had already gone off to work when you woke up, taking the morning shift so she could join you at the gala. Tom giving you a day off had helped tremendously; you had been able to get ahead on your homework with at least a week and you had gotten some much-needed rest. On Monday night, after trying on the gowns, Cecelia had practically forced you into bed at 9:00pm, seeing the redness in your eyes. You had happily obliged and sleep came easy that night.
Throwing the covers off your body, you slide toward the edge of your bed, stretching your joints. Glancing at your phone after clicking the home button, you sigh, realizing it’s only barely eight in the morning. That means you have almost eleven hours until Tom’s driver comes to pick you up. What could you possibly do to keep yourself preoccupied until then?
The answer? Anything and everything you could think of. Once the bathroom, kitchen and living room was vacuumed, dusted and mopped, you moved on to organizing your closet. After going through all of your clothes and filling a whole trash bag with unwanted clothes for donation, you walk back into the living room. You purse your lips, trying to think of something to do. An unpleasant sound coming from your stomach quickly makes the decision for you, and you head toward the kitchen.
Once your beans and toast had been consumed, the time seemed to move too fast. An hour later, Cecelia had come home and the two of you shared some nachos as you took turns doing each other’s hair. You decided on something simple, not liking a lot of attention, and your friend had loosely curled your hair, pinning the front strands of your hair back with a beautiful hair clip. You had attempted your best at the braided updo Cecelia had requested. It came out mediocre at best, but your friend had looked impressed nonetheless.
“Y/N, love, the ride’s here,” Cecelia coaxes you out of your nervous trance and as her words sink in, you’re about to slip right back into it. She shakes her head, grabbing your hand to pull you up from the couch. “C’mon.”
You watch as she locks the front door, grabbing the skirt of your dress in your hands so you can walk down the stairs. You can’t pinpoint the exact cause of your nervousness. Being Tom’s date, Cecelia meeting Tom again, mingling with the high-status people of London - they all play their part, you assume. For some strange reason, you also feel anxious about the gala going as planned. After all, you had been planning this event alongside Tom and Harrison for a long time. You realize you’ve been moving automatically when the cold air hits you and you find yourself outside.
Cecelia links her arm with yours, the two of you very careful with your dresses. Neither of you knew the exact price tag, but you both agreed they were more expensive than anything you guys could afford. The driver is already waiting outside of the car, open the door and helping you both inside when you’re close enough. The ride is mostly filled with Cecelia’s eager chatter. You remain quiet for the most part, your unexplainable nerves getting the best of you. Your best friend seems to understand and leaves you alone, much to your relief. You’re able to calm your increased heartbeat with numerous pep-talks, but once the car comes to a halt, your heartbeat quickens once again.
The door on Cecelia’s side is opened and she shoots you a quick smile before letting the driver help her out. Inhaling deeply, you reach for your own door handle. The door is slung open before you can even touch the handle, and a pair of gentle eyes meet yours. You smile timidly at the older man and the stranger holds his hand out and you find yourself grabbing it almost automatically. God knows you need help getting out of the car. With your free hand, you gather most of the satin skirt to keep it from brushing against the car.
You and Cecelia follow the crowd, making your way up the stairs leading into the children’s museum. Now that you knew the reason behind the event, the location made a lot more sense and it had proven to you, once again, that Tom isn’t your regular, heartless player. You clutch your shawl tighter, desperately praying for the guests in front of you to hurry up before you catch a cold. Eventually, they move along and you’re able to step inside. You welcome the warmth, forcing yourself to loosen your grip on the fabric covering your bare shoulders. Your eyes wander around, recognizing a few decorations from one of the meetings, before resting on a familiar face.
The first thing you notice about Tom is his hair. It’s styled, almost too perfectly, combed over to the right. He looks great; professional, yet handsome enough for you not to be able to take your eyes off. He smirks as you and Cecelia step toward them. You smile, greeting your two bosses by their first names. Cecelia and Harrison exchange a greeting, having met each other once before.
“I knew you would look good in blue,” Tom states almost arrogantly.
“What Tom means to say, Y/N, is that you look beautiful. You both do,” Harrison looks between the two of you as you flush, not noticing how Tom’s smile hardens. “You two head inside and grab yourselves a drink, look for your assigned seats. We’ll be in as soon as we’re done greeting everyone.”
Finding your seats had been easier said than done. Eventually, Cecelia suggested the idea that maybe, just maybe, you’re supposed to sit with Tom. You had quickly thrown the idea away but a few minutes later, you find your name written on the seat next to Tom’s. Cecelia had smirked, deciding to keep her comment to herself. Tom, Harrison, and Harrison’s mother had joined you not too long after you sit down and the conversation flows easily from there. Harrison’s mother excused herself a few moments later, making her way to the stage to officially welcome all of the guests.
You pick at your dessert silently, too full to even taste it. The three-course meal was more food than you could handle and you had barely been able to finish your dinner. No one brought up the topic of the two empty chairs labeled Sam and Harry and although the curiosity was killing you, you had a hunch the topic was sensitive. A hand rests on top of yours and you turn your attention to Tom, pausing your mindless prodding. He just raises his eyebrows and you instantly know he had watched you pick at the untouched plate of Banoffee pie.
“Let’s dance,” Tom doesn’t ask and before you can politely decline, he’s on his feet and holding his arm out for you. Cecelia silently urges you to take him up on his offer and with a sigh, you place your fork down and scoot your chair back.
Luckily, other couples have made their way to the dancefloor already. Realizing that not everyone will be focused on you, you relax slightly as Tom leads you into the small, moving crowd. He comes to a stop and places one hand on the dip of your hip, his other hand grabbing yours. If he notices the clamminess of your skin, he doesn’t say anything. He doesn’t mention your slight shaking either, and you can’t quite decide if that’s positive or negative.
“This would’ve been a lot easier if you didn’t get such a big dress, you know,” you mutter. “I really can’t dance.”
“Relax, darling,” Tom instructs softly, gently pulling you closer to him. Your body reacts immediately and you pray he doesn’t notice your flushed cheeks. “We’ll just sway.”
And you do. The two of you begin swaying slowly from side to side and you quickly forget about everyone else in the room, focusing on Tom’s grip on your waist. A part of you knows that this is wrong - it should be wrong. Tom is your boss, not even your real boss, just overseeing a stupid, required internship for your degree. You shouldn’t be this infatuated with him. Not only is it wrong, but nothing would ever happen between the two of you and you would just be setting yourself up for heartbreak. Closing your eyes briefly, you push the thoughts away, wanting to enjoy this moment - or, whatever it is - with Tom.
The picture of Tom’s freckled, younger brother pops into your mind. You remember suddenly what this gala is for and how difficult this day must be for Tom. You can’t fully comprehend or understand how he feels, and frankly, you’re grateful for that. Just the thought of not being able to see your parents or sister again is extremely painful. The song changes, the tempo still the same, and you keep swaying clumsily. Rubbing your lips together to spread the nude lipgloss, you look up at Tom.
“I’m sorry,” you offer gently and his questioning eyes meet yours. “About Paddy. About your mom and dad. I’m really sorry for your loss, Tom.”
His face hardens at the mention of his younger brother’s name and you instantly wish you can take the words back. The pain in his eyes is enough to make your own eyes water. Slowly, his hand falls from your hip and you immediately miss the warmth from his touch. He untangles his hand from yours shortly after, taking a step back. You feel the urge to close the distance, to touch him, to do something but you know you can’t. Licking his lips, Tom mumbles out an excuse and strides out of your view, blurring into the sea of people. You gather the skirt of your dress in your hands, willing the unshed tears away before you reach the table.
You sit down quietly, ignoring Cecelia’s worried look. Having a best friend that could read you easier than the instructions on the Mac n’ Cheese box could both be a good and a bad thing. Harrison looks behind you, more than likely expecting his best mate to follow. When he doesn’t, Harrison looks at you. You mouth out Paddy’s name, not wanting to bring it up again. The blue-eyed man winces slightly before pressing a quick kiss to his mother’s cheek and excusing himself from the table. Cecelia easily falls into a conversation with Harrison’s mother and you listen half-heartedly, wondering if you had ruined your relationship with Tom.
A/N: Hi guys! So this idea popped into my head late last night. The reader struggles with mental health and whatnot which will be elaborated throughout the story, I will of course put trigger warnings if it ever gets super serious (which I do not think it will). I personally struggle with it myself, go to counseling and take meds so I am not writing blind. I thought it would be interesting to incorporate in a series. I am also working on a masterlist :) Please let me know what you think/if you want to be included in a taglist! xx
You stare up from the sidewalk on Wilshire, at the 700 foot skyscraper above your head. In the background is a homeless person yelling profanities at a Subaru, but you try to block it out and instead try to give yourself what you consider a pre-interview pep talk.
“You graduated, solidify this now or be broke for half of your 20’s.”
Your hands are trembling slightly but not enough to be noticeable as you approach the receptionist with what you hope looks like a smile.
“Hi my name is Y/N Y/L/N. I’m here for a 2:00 interview with Mr. Holland.”
“I will let him know. His office is on the top floor, so by the time you arrive he will probably be waiting for you in the lobby.”
“Thank you,” you breathe out.
Pressing the top floor button, you let out a breath. Reaching into your bag, you grab the pills in your purse and took the one you were saving for the interview. There was too much weight on this interview to take the meds hours before just for it to wear off by the time you arrived. Your thoughts are interrupted by the ding of the elevator.
You look up to see a pristine lobby, with a grey and white marble theme. A few pieces of simplistic art hang on the walls, but the real piece of art is talking to the second receptionist you’ve seen this afternoon. He turns to you as soon as the door opens. He pauses to make eye contact with you. His eyes sparkle with a blue that makes the ocean jealous and your breath hitches a little. So much for the stupid medication.
“Ah, you must be Y/N. Welcome to H&O. Follow me.” He uses his arm to motion towards the hallway where there are three doors, and he stops at the middle one. He opens the door for you.
“Thank you…” you didn’t want to mistake this man to be one of the CEO’s since the biographies on the website had no pictures, and if he was one of them you didn’t want to get the wrong name, so you leave an opening.
“Osterfield. Harrison Osterfield. I’m the O of H&O. Sorry about that, I know you were expecting Tom. Emergency meeting, and by emergency meeting I mean standard meeting that the dicks at our other corporate office didn’t let him know about. Take a seat and we can get started.”
Last minute changes weren’t the end of the world, but your anxiety spikes. You prepped in every way to interview, even going as far as to practice adding Mr. Holland to the end of almost every sentence. Needless to say your tremble was more noticeable than when it was downstairs. You breathe as deeply through your nose as possible as you sit down across from the ocean-eyed beauty and his white desk.
“So you are applying for the executive assistant position, so you know that this is different from others considering this company is a partnership and you will be assisting two people rather than one?”
“Yes, it’s actually what interested me in the position. I enjoy the potential for various types of work.” You sounded like a robot and you knew it.
Harrison chuckles at you. “No need to be so stiff, Y/N. You realize you are like...two years younger than me right?”
You giggle. “I was aware, doesn’t relieve the pressure though.” You think back on what you read on the website about the two CEO’s and attempt to relax yourself on the outside.
“Continuing, you graduated from NYU...impressive. What made you come back from the East Coast?”
“I’m actually from here sir. I missed it and want to set the foundation of my career here, especially with the proximity to studios and everything for film production.”
“First Y/N, no need for the sir please. I’m 24 not 44.” You laugh lightly at his remark feeling more comfortable already. “And I respect that. West Coast best coast, as they say.”
You go over strengths, weaknesses, and past jobs with Harrison before he signals the end of the meeting.
“The resume is our main form of judgement to be frank with you, Y/N, and we had already sorted through candidates. It was between you and one other person but I would like to happily offer you the position now,” Harrison explains as you walk towards the elevator.
You stop. “Oh...I wasn’t expecting to know the results so quick. Um...thank you, Mr. O-”
“Harrison. Please.” He sticks his hand out and you shake it, hoping the claminess isn’t as bad as usual.
“Harrison. Thank you so much.”
“I will see you Monday morning at 9. We’ll send information for paperwork to the same email used for the interview setup?”
“Yes, see you Monday. Thank you again.” You try to express your gratitude through a smile as you get into the elevator.
You cover your mouth with your hand as you watch the decreasing numbers on the elevator screen planning your outfit, coffee order, and everything in between for the following Monday.

this story is very slow burn on the readers part. anything in italics is a flashback. i have given the reader a last name and named all their family members. but other than that its all still reader insert.
With your head thrown back you sigh loudly; your driver was late to pick you up from the airport and because of their mistake you were stuck in the late night rush hour traffic itching to get home to your apartment and take the longest bath ever. Unfortunately, your father had other plans for you. An hour-long phone call and two cups of coffee later and you’re taking a quick shower. Your father had insisted you go in his place for the board meeting with an overseas company that hopes to merge with ‘Spencer Industries’. At first, you were hesitant to agree to his suggestion but by the time you had walked in the door of your apartment you had given up your protest and willingly obliged before ending the phone call.
The digital clock on your microwave flashed the bright red numbers of a daunting hour in the morning as you walked around with just a towel wrapping around your body. You put off getting dressed for a good hour or so. Your hands smooth out any creases in the black pencil skirt, you then carefully tuck in the white blouse and manage to adjust your stockings before slipping your feet into your only decent pair of work appropriate shoes.
Removing your hair from the towel wrap you blast it with the blow dryer on the highest setting for a while before running the flat iron over it. Your hair is the least bit healthy anyway so why start worrying about it now? Your swipe a thin layer of chapstick over your lips and ruin your fresh minty breath with your third cup of coffee before heading downstairs to meet your driver.
You had strict instructions from your father which were sent via email when you had gotten into the car. They explicitly tell you to be friendly, welcoming and to do anything to get this representative of the overseas company to merge. You skimmed over all the other rules before shutting your phone off and picking at the skin around your nails. You hadn’t stepped foot in your father’s company in little over a year after issues with your brother Blake had arisen.
Your driver greets you with a faint smile as he opens the door for you to get out, you of course, return the smile and make your way into the reception lobby of your father’s building. The amount of blatantly shocked reactions you received were nothing more than ego boosters as you notice the time and you practically start nervous sweating because you were thirty minutes late, which is a truly classic Y/N thing to do. Not bothering to engage in witty banter with the building’s receptionist, Harvey, you stroll off quickly to the elevators, pressing the button for the fifth floor and wait patiently for it to ding. Your hands seem to fiddle with one of the buttons on the sleeve of your shirt as the numbers count up until you’ve reached your floor. Your heels click against the tiled flooring as you manage to speedily walk into the meeting, apologising profusely as the person at the front had begun addressing everyone.
“I’m so sorry I’m late. My father had to notify me on such short notice that I was to be representing him in this meeting, so I apologise on both my father’s behalf for his shitty timing and my own for deciding to sleep instead.” You say through gritted teeth and the fakest smile you’ve ever had before you take a seat and the meeting continues.
Not a moment later an intern is walking in with what seems to be an entire entourage of people following behind her. She leads them in, holding the door open before walking off yet again. Your eyes remain fixated on the screen when a familiar scent of cologne fills your nose and your gaze is looking around the room. That’s when it hits you.
“Holy shit.”, you mumble under your breath, making the entire table turn to look at you as you make subtle eye contact with the blued eyed, blonde haired boy who almost chokes on the sip of coffee he took once the realisation hit him too. Oh boy, oh boy were you royally fucked if this was to go south.
“Miss Y/N, since your father isn’t here to prepare an award winning speech about the prospering activity of this company, perhaps you can whip one up?” One of the executive pipes up as you give him a deadening smile before standing, fixing your skirt and clearing your throat.
“I’m going to ignore your blatantly sexist comment Mister Sheffield and start off by saying, Spencer Industries is a legacy to put it bluntly. My father’s childhood dreams all came true because he was a lover of building things and put in all this hard work and dedication to make Spencer Industries what it is today. It continues to grow and branch out in new directions all the time so hopefully…” You come to a loss for words when you don’t know the name of the overseas company that you’re addressing before Harrison jumps in to save you.
“OsterCorp.”, he says softly and you give a quick smile and resume your speech.
“As I was saying, we hope to expand and continue to develop in new directions and with the help of Ostercorp I’m positive only great things can come from this union.”, your speech ends as a small round of comforting applause fills the meeting room and you sink back in the chair as another executive goes over finalising plans, but your eyes remain in an unwanted staring contest with Harrison which is why you’ve toned everyone else out for the rest of the meeting.
By the end of the meeting you’re signing the contract as a representative and the meeting room is almost empty, leaving only you and Harrison, who remained seated the entire time. He’s staring at the monitor on the wall as the Spencer Industries logo bounces around the screen before he stands up abruptly pushing the chair out from under him and crossing over to you.
“You didn’t tell me you were some big shot CEO.”, you mumble, looking down at the contract and hear a faint chuckle from behind you as you shift to offer him the pen to sign the contract.
“We didn’t tell each other a lot of things, like how your father is Harold Spencer?”
“Didn’t you take notice of the business card I wrote on?”
Your words fall from your mouth as you lean against the table, lips contoured in a smirk as your eyes dart over his face, trying to read whatever emotion he was feeling and predict his next action. Of course, that was a hopeless thing to do. He was unpredictable, which excites you in more ways than one. Your breathing was slow and consisted of short, sharp intakes of air as he edged closer to you. Using his hand to grip your jaw, you purse your lips slightly and look up at him, eyes glossed over with some form of lust before you lift your head and your lips are locking together in a rushed mess of emotions. The kiss is slowly heated to the point he is lifting you up and placing you on the table. You pull away from the kiss, attaching your lips to the exposed skin of his neck to nip and suck on the soft skin causing a throaty groan falls from his lips. His hands run over your stocking covered legs before the sound of the material tearing makes you gasp and look up at him, eyebrows slightly furrowed.
“It’s not like I needed those or anything.” You sneer, furrowing your brows even more and poking his chest with your index finger. He shakes his head, leaning over you to sign the contract you had pushed aside during the heated make-out session. His lips find yours again after he finished signing, slipping your tongue into his mouth. Hands raking through his hair, pressing yourself against him as his hands grip your hips before he’s pulling away. You shoot him a confused look to which he responds to with a light chuckle, stepping away from you and fixing his hair, moving on to tightening the tie around his neck.
“I’m looking forward to do business with you and your father Ms. Spencer.”, he says, a cocky smirk plastered on his face before taking the contract, fixing the cuffs around his wrists and walks out of the meeting room. You remain seated on the table of the meeting room for a moment before you kick off your shoes and pull the ribbed pair of stockings off only to discard them in the trash prior to walking out, remaining cool, calm and collected.
Can you do a ceo!harrison where he's really mad and frustrated when you visit him at work and you try to calm him down by surprising him and telling him you're pregnant
“Gail!” you heard Harrison bark into the phone to his secretary, who had him on speaker. “I thought I told you to hold my calls, and especially no visitors. These numbers are not matching up and I need time to…”
“But, Mr. Osterfield,” Gail interrupts. “It’s your wife.”
There was a long pause; Gail looks at you apologetically as you wring your hands together nervously. You rarely ever visit Harrison at work, because he’s usually really busy. But today, you had a purpose.
Finally, a small sigh, and then: “Okay, send her in.”
Gail nods at you and you head into Harrison’s office, slowly opening the door.
“Hey, you.” You poke your head through the door, smiling sheepishly at him. “I’m so sorry if I’m bothering you; I can come back later if…”
“No, no, darling. You’re fine. I could use a friendly face, after the day I’ve had.”
You close the door behind you, hanging your purse on the hook near it. You look over at Harrison and his desk. He’s usually impeccably dressed - suit, tie, jacket. His desk is almost always spotless. But now, his jacket has been tossed haphazardly over the back of his chair, and he’s removed his tie; papers are littering the desktop. His hair, usually perfect, is now a mess of haphazard curls that you can tell he’s been nervously running his fingers through.
“Do… do you wanna talk about it?” You ask.
He sighs deeply. “It’s just… the numbers I had Janet run aren’t matching up with what the computer says I’m supposed to have. I can’t figure out where the discrepancy is. I’ve got buyers breathing down my neck, two of my accountants called out sick. I…” He wraps his arms around your waist, burying his head into your shoulder. “I wonder why I got into this business in the first place, you know? This is just a horrible day.”
You smile, rubbing slow, comforting circles over his back. “Well, I think I can help cheer you up.” You pull away from him slightly, pulling a folded piece of paper out of your pocket and handing it to him. “Here, take a look at this.”
Brow furrowed in confusion, Harrison unfolds the paper; his brow softens in realization as he studies it. He lets out a small gasp as it hits him.
“You… you’re pregnant?”
You nod, unable to control the smile from forming on your face. “I’m about eight weeks, the doctor said. We get to find out in seven weeks if we’re having a boy or a girl.”
Harrison smiles widely at you, a tear slipping down his cheek. “You’re right,” he whispers, “that did cheer me up. I can’t believe this, I’m so happy!” He hurriedly wipes the tear away and kisses you softly. “I’m gonna be a daddy!” He runs over to his phone and presses the intercom button. “Gail!” he excitedly shouts into it. “I’m gonna be a daddy!”
“Congratulations, Mr. Osterfield!” Gail replies, a smile in her voice.
“Oh, darling, I love you so much,” Harrison says. Then, he kneels down and presses a small kiss to your stomach. “I love you too, little one. I am so excited to meet you.” He stands up, kissing you again. “Maybe this day’s not so bad after all.”
