My cousin & her husband dropped by today with a lovely new addition to my studio - a desk/shelf that was made by our grandfather (who I sadly never got to meet, but I like having things he made in my house!).
It truly feels like the puzzle piece that was missing from this space - the shelves are nice & deep & will fit tons of drying/in-progress pottery, and the sturdy desk bit will be so good for rolling out slabs for my mugs.
Also, the drawers fit SO MUCH? I hucked a bunch of tools/pottery supplies in there & there's still a ton of room in both of them (neither is pulled out all the way in these photos)!
Finally, in one of those serendipitous circumstances, the veneer of the new desk matches the veneer of my 1930s cabinet I got last year *perfectly*?!?! Wild!!

Souda's Kawa Porcelain Vases, Vase 12, White
It may be a topsy turvy world we live in, but in this space we're embracing the unknown with open arms. Each Kawa Vase 12 is unique - a result from a decades-long experiment with casting porcelain into leather molds. Wild yet understated, carefree but poetic, sometimes the unexpected is just what you're looking for.
