Cereal Kitten- Is she MamaYuki/YukiCalmDown?- The Evidence
A little bit ago, a post was submitted onto the confessions blog and it got us curious: http://confessionsofalionholic.tumblr.com/post/154034840615/warning-long-post
We did some digging.
A simple google search of MamaYuki yeilds a scary large amount of callout blogs, buyer bewares, and scammer warning jounrals on dA and other sites. Many users include a very long list of accounts she has been known to use, one of which has been linked back to an imagine in the dA stash cerealkitten has used.
Yuki started out by stealing adoptables and selling them herself. She then moved up and has been scamming users out of dA points. Not even a few weeks ago, she had committed to returning points she had scammed with the help of another dA user (http://getanimated.deviantart.com/journal/Y-U-K-I-FOREVER-BANNED-647306647) but then she did a complete 180 and returned to scamming, and is now using an account on dA called YukiCalmDown. Just recently (December 10th), she reportedly paid someone to hack a dA account, which she tried to ransom and created a fake account of the owner to sell off his characters and adopts. (http://o0-jynxus-0o.deviantart.com/journal/WARNING-MamaYuki-WARNING-650701688)
She threatens to commit suicide, dox other users, harasses them, and threatens dmca takedowns. (http://9vi.deviantart.com/journal/SCAMMER-ALERT-YUKICALMDOWN-647286472)
This user is also 12, though she claims to be 13 (a source confirmed she is in fact 12, and will be turning 13 in March). She’s publically stated that she is 13 in multiple fake suicide notes:
1. http://yukicalmdown.deviantart.com/journal/Goodbye-637035652
2. http://yukicalmdown.deviantart.com/journal/Yukis-suicide-note-637035572
3. http://yukicalmdown.deviantart.com/journal/Goodbye-637035651
While we can’t conclusively say that CerealKitten is in fact Yuki, the two share striking similarities.
Cerealkitten’s posted dA just attempted to sell stolen characters, and sited a toyhou.se link as to where they got them from (however they did remove the stolen characters when asked):
http://thechickendestroyer.deviantart.com/journal/Quick-oc-purge-651136530
https://toyhou.se/Tlgerbutt
Both the dA and toyhou.se accounts are very similar to Yuki’s “style” of art (yuki’s toyhou.se being https://toyhou.se/Alphys), and even her style of scamming (“I have x, need y, give!”) but as someone who has dealt with Yuki for awhile now pointed out– Yuki would not give away things for free like cerealkitten has, she’d ask for points or real currency in return.
If anything, we can only guess and make assumptions until more solid evidence comes to light, if it does (we’ll let you know!). If you want to do business with this user when they return, be wary. Reverse image search examples if art and characters, double check to make sure they’re owned by the correct user, and report anything fishy to the modbox!
