this. it's not like i ever met her, but she's honestly the only person who ever made me feel like i could still be confident & successful after i learned i was bipolar. she was so honest about the ugliness of mental health struggles, but that that didn't make /you/ ugly for having them.

God damn it. People like us don’t get many heroes. We don’t. This one feels personal because it is. I’m genuinely heartbroken.
