This is David Spender (David, as in David Duchovny) and Gillian Leigh (Gillian as in Gillian Anderson), two FBI agents investigating The Illuminati, as seen in 3rd Strike, particularly, Q’s ending. There’s a bit of a gender role-reversal here, in that Gillian, the woman, is the true believer, and David, the man, is the hard skeptic. Gillian became convinced of the paranormal when she encountered Twelve as a child.
