In the mid-2010s, plans for an animated film based on Bob and Doug McKenzie had surfaced. The film, which was titled: "The New Adventures of Bob and Doug McKenzie: Moon Brew", was set for release in Canadian Thanksgiving Day 2019. The film would've been a rehash of a scrapped Strange Brew sequel, albeit with anime-inspired plot points to appeal to younger audiences aside from elements from the Northern genre in an attempt to revive it, but due to writing problems and animation issues, the project was cancelled around December 2018, almost a year before the project was set for release.

This teaser image depicting the two brothers in their CGI form is the only known piece of media related to the project. The rest had been lost to deletion and/or destruction, as the creators deemed this project to be a failure.

Hey, sorry for the backstory, it's a fib. I just created a cartoon style photomanip that imagines Bob and Doug if they were to appear in a CGI film. I tried making it look like it came from the Spiderverse film, but ended up being bleh. I could do a better job next time or improve on this.
