chapter 209... eyes. and his scarf.

(spoilers!) (of the characters' eyes HAHAHHA)

suo's eyes looked VERY, and i mean VERY, different from what i usually see it as. idk if its bc just that one panel the artists decided to add more texture to that one specific panel of suo, but... the eyes caught me off guard. (or maybe you kinda js saw it and went, mEH, they're just eyes. cuz they might just be eyes.)

so i decided to go back and do some more digging on the characters' eyes. (tht sounds hella weird)

anyway. here are how characters look like when they're just... them. let's call them the

'no fighting/triggered' eyes

sakura's eyes (i believe from a more recent chapter, but it shows him being more understanding towards momi's situation. bc he empathizes with momi and understands that... momi isn't alone.) the eyes give off a feeling that is more calm, at ease.

'they gonna die/they be fighting' eyes

the triggered eyes. they are mad mad.

keel fight, suo + kaji's eyes: eyes of anger, shows a bit of emptiness. when the eyes are like a ring with just the pupil in the center, it gives off we're serious and we're pissed vibes. and then kaji proceeds to knock out that one keel leader guy and suo's about to knock the shi out of the guy who attacked nirei.

sugishita and sakura's eyes: determined/they're triggered and are gonna jump everyone eyes.

momi's eyes as he tries to destroy aq group of ppl who jump him out of nowehere, before the bofurin kids pull up and help him out.

these kids' fighting eyes are either tiny circles or a bigger ring shape with a dot inside.

and then we got more of suo's eyes as he fight and his eyes are unlike the other kids' fighting eyes. his eyes seem like the 'no fighting/not triggered' eyes category. (excluding the keel fight one, the two photos right under kaji.)

the bofurin vs noroshi fight: sakura's eyes: eyes of a leader vibes, and very similar to the eyes above where he's passionate and determined in protecting bofurin and the town...

the eyes in ch. 209 of suo lok a little bit like sakura's eyes in the noroshi vs bofurin fight. is that supposed to mean something? are his eyes a hint that he's not like how he was before? or is it js bc the artists put a lil more work to the last panel in 209 and detailed his eyes a little more. did he get more scars/tattoos around his neck? or is it js bc conveniently it was cold so he wore a scarf?

also how was it so goofy timing bc right when nirei called suo was standing right in front of nirei.

also when was the last time the playground popped up? was it with after the keel thing---the girl, anzai, and his friend kinda making up and finally saying they'll be together as besties or something?

is this meaning that suo will finally tell nirei something?

also why did he put the address of an empty lot? is it bc he doesn't want anyone to know where he lives? he doesn't want anyone to find him? i think that nirei finding out suo lied on his papers... would, well, make ppl more suspicious of suo. they're probably reaqlizing, suo has hid so many more secrets than theyrealized.

well well well anyway. okay but like the last panel of suo... 🥰🥰

but also damn eveyrone's worried for suo.

i also find it ineresting that someone said "is suo kidnapped..?" what if he was kidnapped when hwas younger? is this major foreshadowing or smth. cuz the idea of someone being kidnapped and being beaten/tortured is and has been in wbk. (anzai's friend being missing + then tortured, shizuka abt to be kidnapped and sold off...)

okay the end. my thoughts are legit scattered so idk where i was going with these ideas MWAHAHAH

In memoriam

Now that most of you have read chapter 209 of the manga and have hopefully let it settle in a bit, I would like to give some attention to this.

RIP Snake 3/15/1871 - 12/9/1889

A beloved member of the Phantomhive household and Kuroshitsuji family has passed away. Snake, as we learned, was 18 years old and had no other name. His eccentric looks an dabilities made him a very special character to many who have feelings akin to Snake's: the fact that they desperately want to belong somewhere, despite being an oddity. Snake therefore was a very popular character, even becoming the seventh most popular character of the series according to an official poll, just missing out on the Akuma Six.

Much about Snake remains a mystery. We still don't know what caused his appearance, or how he wound up at the freakshow. I have little hope that we'll find that out yet now that he's gone.

But we will not let his passing go by unnoticed. That's why we announce the following:

Snake's memorial service (#Snake Memorial) Starting this friday, and lasting throughout the weekend, we will honor Snake in the ways fandoms tend to do:

Friday: Memories day. Share your favourite manga/anime moment(s) of Snake and his Snakes.

Saturday: Fan content. Share your fanfictions, fanart, etc. featuring Snake.

Sunday: Speculation day. What headcanons do you have for Snake? Which questions left unanswered do you think you have the solution to? Share your thoughts on Snake on the third and final day.
