I have a question regarding the Nami vs Kalifa fight--an ancient fandub I watched of the fight translated one of nami's lines as "wow i really want to make out with her!" We all know Nami's a lesbian, but she doesnt actually say that anywhere, does she (unfortunately I dont have any reference for her saying this--hopefully I'm not just imagining it lol)?
I think that must be a translation of this moment? She doesn’t say exactly that but it’s admittedly close- she says わっ、色っぽい/wa, iroppoi, which is straight up, “Wow, she’s sexy...”
Which, may i say, big mood, Miss Navigator.
honestly big props to franky for seeing this and not immediately shitting his speedo and jumping right back down into the waterfall cause that’s definitely what i’d do
...weird but okay!
This is another scene that shows a lot about Lucci’s character, because Spandam basically gives him permission to do whatever he wants to get her to keep moving, even if it’s violent. But instead of that, he simply takes her arm, tells her that he’s only doing it because he’s been ‘ordered’ to, and is never unnecessarily rough.
Again, for a guy rumored to be bloodthirsty and completely devoid of human emotion, it’s a very human thing to do, and little things like this are why I like Lucci so much because he could be a one-note character...but he isn’t, and I appreciate that a lot.
