Kaku still being able to laugh at that even though he’s barely able to stay conscious tho :/  

Also it’s rather significant that he’s the only one out of all of CP9 who willingly gives up his key and concedes that he lost.  None of the others would have considered it, because even if they lost, that doesn’t mean that they want the Strawhats to be able to save Robin.  I have no doubt Kaku knew all along he had the key they needed, but to him honor is even more important than his job, and this is a big reason why I love his character so much.

Kaku’s just completely resigned to the fact that because he lost that probably means his role with the government is done.  Zoro in this panel is kind of interesting because it’s like he’s not quite sure how to react to Kaku yet so he makes a dry joke out of it.
