I was wondering how Rakiel, the man famous for accidentally spreading a false rumor that he was impotent, would manage to negotiate politics with a clever king..... ahhh of course, Rakiel knows someone near him who's sick ( ̄▽ ̄;)
Blackbeard has a real affinity for using like- excessively violent terminology, particularly in regards to murder. He can never just say ‘kill’ (殺す/korosu), he always adds modifiers to increase the level of violence/viscerality. It’s... real nasty.
Like, here when he’s telling Ace his plan to kill Luffy, he uses the word ブチ殺す/buchikorosu, which specifically means ‘to beat to death,’ or sometimes ‘to slaughter.’ And a few pages later, he uses ブッ殺す/bukkorosu, a similar word, to describe his murder of Thatch.
霜月/shimotsuki (literally ‘frost month’), the name of Zoro’s former home village, is the archaic/poetic Japanese name for the eleventh month of the lunar calendar (so, November), which is kinda fun since Zoro’s birthday is 11/11.
