So I'm rewatching thriller bark and I was wondering something, I know you left that behind some time ago so it's okay if you don't wanna answer! it's about when almost all of them are in the ship and usopp tells the crew absalom wants to marry nami. In the anime luffy says "he must have big balls to want to marry nami", and I was wondering if that's an accurate translation? It's almost swearing I guess and I have never seen anyone in op talk about balls (minus amazon lily) so I loved it
Presuming that’s this panel (also lmao at Sanji just completely losing his mind in the background and nobody else giving a single shit), then that’s not a direct translation, no- in Japanese, Luffy just says he must be really brave (勇気/yuuki) to marry Nami.
Kubo said let's put Ichigo through so much hardships and trails and then give a teeny tiny glimpse of hope - make him feel happiness for a fraction of a second yk - and THEN stab the hope out of him nine pages later.
In the entire series, I don't think Ichigo suffered as much as he did in those 5 chapters. It was non stop.
