In the viz translation of chapter 51, Don Krieg calls Mihawk a “dandy” (lol) and in ch 52 he calls Mihawk “fancy pants” (LMAO). Don Krieg doesn’t say anything like that in the fan translations I’ve seen, so I’m wondering what Krieg calls Mihawk in the Japanese version?

this is REALLY funny, actually. yeah, they just added these in. in the first instance the original just says あの男/ano otoko ('that man'), and in the second he addresses him as てめェ/temē ('you bastard').

so.... don krieg homophobic but only in translation??

Really really fun chapter of Ichi the Witch!

They are so cute. Learning more about the Witches association is awesome too. Prosthetics, modes of transport, both new and old, and the ghost ship is awesome! Jikishirone tagging along on the mission will be cool too. Prophesy and time interacting will be interesting to see.

Good news! This data gobbledygook doesn't make much more sense to me in the English version, either! (Is the implication that those are some kind of fancy scanner tech goggles? I wouldn't think those would be a common thing in the Gotei 13 outside of maybe 12th division? Are they even goggles? What are they if not goggles, a visor?)
