SUPER JUSTIFIED CRASH OUT
I CALLED THIS!! I LITERALLY CALLED IT!! WHERES THE POST I MADE AAAAAA I SWEAR I CALLED IT
So the reason Harrow is a powerful necromancer is because her parents sacrificed Gideon’s power right? Gideon was supposed to be one of the sacrificed children but she didn’t die and then Harrow is born with all the Thanergy that was created by the deaths of 200 kids. But like still she’s really good at it and I’m pretty sure it’s implied that it’s because of Gideon. Who in an alternate universe is a necromancer. Who doesn’t have any necromancy abilities herself despite being the child of the necromancer god. So Harrow has that power.
Which then makes a really interesting point of maybe that’s why John liked Harrow so much. He was seeing in her his actual genetic necromantic abilities. Which she took from Gideon
I think I do really like Ortus. Like he has every right to be mad about his situation. This is a very kind response to his death and a great acknowledgement about how much Gideon and Harrows situations growing up absolutely sucked. It’s good to see Harrow also connecting with someone from the Ninth about their shared trauma. Even if she’s being stubborn about it
I will cry
Damn rip. The ghost she’s in love with is uber evil I guess.
This does make me think that she didn’t find a way to overwrite the love she had for Gideon with her false memory ghost bubble induced brain trauma so her brain ascribed the love she felt to the “Body” instead. It was never her but Gideon. I could be wrong about this
Well I guess that sums it all up nicely
I want to go on record that I did predict a lot of this!!
Yo look it’s the one that you fools have been waiting like four years for
So I am not comprehending most things about HtN at the moment. I can’t tell if she has memory loss or has deluded herself or if this an alternate universe where Gideon didn’t go with her to Canaan house. And I’m honestly not smart enough to figure it out until the narrative blatantly tells me. So I’m just along for the ride.
But you know what I ca figure out? All the homestuck inspiration that’s in Act 1
1. The big ghost planet monster “Beast” things are clearly inspired by the horrorterrors
2. Everything about Ianthe is Vriska to me
3. Gods name is John. Come on now.
4. They’re in a space station in an asteroid belt waiting for a horrible monster to come find them and kill them? That’s a plot line entirely ripped from homestuck be so for real
5. The River was like if Muir asked “What if the ghost dream bubbles were horrifying instead of cathartic and drama filled?”
