This does make me wonder how long Oda has certain story elements planned, like...was this always supposed to be how Izo joined the Whitebeard Pirates or did Oda just create his character design randomly way back when and then realize he could actually do more with his character. Obviously Wano as a concept existed by the time Marineford was written but I’m very curious...

Amatsuki means “heavens moon”

toki means “time”

she’s from the void century 800 years ago and wantst to go to wano.

i cant make any other connections other than that all the kimonos or jimbei’s that oden is wearing has a moon symbol on it and toki’s dress is covered with crescent moons and has a bird flying close to it maybe that represents the kozuki clan’s emblem which also happens to be a bird.

Party scenes are always fun but Whitey Bay and Toki bonding and obviously getting along is very, very important to me.

Marco being the first one to actually start encouraging Oden is really cute, though... And it does kind of parallel how he was the one to sincerely talk to Ace and convince him to join the crew all those years alter.
