Finally, after hours of hours of procrastinating on my assignments and learning how to code - finding myself in a constant losing battle with choicescript - I have a semi-working demo!
It's super broken with a million and one spelling errors and I'm still learning how I want to do stats, but the game is playable. I just wanted to introduce you lovely people to my writing style, the Curator, Jackie, and the Trouvaille universe.

If the Trouvaille cast had to date someone from another IF, who would they choose?
Oh good god that is an awesome question and I spent an absurd amount of time hemming and hawing over it. Note that this is who they'd pick themselves, not necessarily who would suit him the best.
Jackie: Marco from "Blood Moon" by @barbwritesstuff - Jackie appreciates someone who can find some levity in tough situations and it's good for them to have someone as fiercely loyal as they are. Also hot werewolf.
TV: D from "A Tale of Crowns" by @ataleofcrowns - They'd like how strong and stable they are. They’re generally unflappable where TV is extremely flappable so they'd admire them. Since they're both shy, the two of them would be a disaster to watch flirt (read: attempt to flirt).
Theo: Rylan from "When Twilight Strikes" by @evertidings - Another really hard one. They're both hot, love flirting, and fear commitment. It's a match made in heaven. Actually, it's a match that wouldn't work out well as a serious romantic relationship but it would be a strong friendship with benefits.
Dakota: Sydero from "Superstition" by @13leaguestories - Didn't even have to think about this one. He sees mean magic lady and he's gone, deceased, perished.
Antigone: Ambrose Kim from "Mind Blind" by @mindblindbard - Kim is objective, precise, and capable and Annie would be a total mess for him. Also he's 30 and that soothes her immortal heart since she normally gets hit on by younger adults and it's a little weird for her.

Jackie: Let their college roommate taser them in the ass while drunk. Then let them taser their nipples while sober. (Just two of many many many dumb things that are too plentiful to list)
TV: Told the Dominos guy "I love you" on the phone after ordering pizza. Has not gone back since.
Theo: Went to a fancy party and saw a stack of mints on a plate on the way out. They tried one only to find that the mint was, in fact, a tiny soap.
Jace: After a 36 hour workday, went to a drive thru so he could stuff his face with something before he passed out. But he was so out of it that when the dude taking his order asked what he wanted to drink, he said, "Barbecue." He corrected himself but then sat there for like a minute trying to remember the word "Pepsi."
Dakota: Tried to prove he could fit a whole egg in his mouth. Getting it in was the easy part.
Antigone: Got 20 minutes of sleep one night. Dumped her cereal into her plant and nearly drank Miracle-Gro.

Hell or High Water
Castor: Burnt the crap out of his hand making microwave mac and cheese. He didn't know he wasn't supposed to saran wrap it and when he took the plastic off - FWOOM. (This is his #2 dumbest thing actually)
Sabine: A guy blatantly insulted her (sort of on accident) but it was hilarious so she ended up obsessed with him for the next 4 years.
Jess: Snuck into a hangar on base and tried to take a prototype helicopter for a joyride. She'd have been arrested and court martialed if her dad didn't know her so well.
Mina: Is super allergic to peanut butter but needed to taste that creamy goodness one more time so she ate a spoonful from the jar then immediately epi penned herself.
Matthias: Accompanied his father for a business dinner. Introduced himself to his father's investor and his lovely daughter. Except that was his wife.
The Rival: A friend told them they were pregnant and they said, "Yikes, what are you gonna do?" Then realized that that friend was married and was actually trying to start a family.
The Shadow: Has been saying "human bean" instead of "human being" their whole life since mishearing it once when they were a kid. The logic of it has not occurred to them.
💢 ANGER - what are some habits they have that will take some getting used to? for all the LI's?
Jackie is headstrong and their emotions rule them (as opposed to them ruling their emotions). This can be problematic during disagreements because the world is very black and white to them. It's either one thing or the other.
Also they put on their shoes in sock, shoe, sock shoe (as opposed to sock, sock, shoe, shoe) and that's not a crime but it is extremely cursed.
TV with amnesia is a "yes" person. They avoid conflict at any cost, but the cost is some of their personality. Granted, part of that is due to the amnesia, but it's very hard to do anything with TV because they tend to tell you what you want to hear, not what they're really thinking. This can make them feel shallow or fake.
Also they get quiet when they get upset because they don't want to say anything they'll regret. Thing is, that tends to feel like the silent treatment even though it's not supposed to be.
Theo is not good at romance. They have a harem at the beginning of the game and it is not for romance. As such, they're the type to forget anniversaries, important dates, and doing anything you'd expect a certified flirt to do. That's because that type of thing just doesn't occur to them.
Also smoking.
Jace is the golden boy in a family of perfectionists. It's hard for him to prioritize anything over his work, even in a relationship. Stemming from that, if something isn't going well for him, (like a project or assignment) he gets freaked out and will shut people out.
Also his worst habit is a spoiler.
Under the cut for non-amnesiac TV's bad habits. Spoilers beware!
Non-amnesiac TV is aloof and uncaring about the opinions of others. Unlike Jackie, who will at least argue with you when you disagree, it's like the other's opinion doesn't even exist. For a mild example, if you want to get fast food but TV wants takeout, they're just going to order takeout whether you like it or not. Or if they forget about an important event and you express that you're upset, they'll just be like, "Ok. That sucks."

Jackie spins in their desk chair. Behind them hangs a UCLA pennant. Under it is a shelf of sports medals and trophies. The bed looks immaculate to a military standard.
Jackie: "Nervous? You?"
They shrug.
Jackie: "No idea why. You're one of the most badass people I know, but I get the feeling, I really do. Something my mom told me when I was applying to schools is, "'Not right now' is not 'never.'" That stuck with me ever since. Say you don't get selected. That doesn't mean you'll never get chosen for anything ever. If you never give up, you'll never be out of the game. If and when you do get selected, though, I'll say I told you so and we'll go to Rick's Dessert Diner to celebrate. Easy dubs."
They throw an arm around your shoulder.
Jackie: "And I can't imagine you giving up. Not ever."

Jackie: Always lets you pick the movie. If neither of you have a preference, then they'll collab with you, but when it comes to a final decision, your word is law. Period, end of story.
TV: Sends you A LOT of pictures. Most of the time, it's not even something that warrants a response, it's just that when they do things, they want you to be a part of it too. Expect a lot of voice clips as well of daily musings, like how nice the atmosphere is in the new coffee shop they're in is and how they wish you were there.
Theo: Theo is tall and pretty strong. When you inevitably fall asleep during movie night, if they can carry you, they'll put you to bed and deny doing it in the morning. If they can't carry you, they put your favorite pillow under your head, pull blankets off of the bed to drape over you, and leave a glass of water on the coffee table just in case you wake up thirsty. Again, they will deny doing any of this.
Jace: Is completely on board with you dressing like a baddie when you go out. In fact, he lives for it. If you wanna show off some leg, some tiddy, or your wanna wear a skintight bodysuit, he's totally into it, even if he's not going. "Don't worry, babe, I can fight." Not the jealous type AT ALL.
Jackie: "Abuela tried to teach me but I didn't see her often and mom and dad were busy with work. Dad's the busier of the two and mom came to the U.S. when she was an infant so they couldn't teach me anyway.
They fiddle with their rings.
Jackie: "I know a few phrases like 'no soy tan bueno hablando español' and 'No gracias, abuela, ya comí' but I can't put my own sentences together. I can roll my R's, though, which I'm told is pretty sexy."
