Aka I have to learn to draw people consistently throughout their life spans because most of the time they don't just spawn out to the convenient drawing age.

“...” he has heard that question before, usually accompanied by, “Why aren’t you wearing pants?” but normally from older people, Harriet Cooper included. He swallows, then says, “They’re a part of my costume, and I’ve got tights--”

“Look, I don’t care if it’s corporate policy, I’m not taking the mask off!” Honestly, he didn’t know why Batman sent him here-- something about finances, he thought, but as Robin, the young crime fighter, and not Bruce Wayne’s word-- and he wished he were rather at school (although he was currently missing a chemistry test that he hadn’t yet had a chance to study for).

“I believe Br-- Mr. Wayne was looking for you, Bar--- Ms. Gordon,” the young crime fighter announced. He still didn’t understand why Bruce had sent him to the library in costume, but he had gone along anyway. And Bruce had trusted him enough to drive the Batmobile alone.

“Y’ know, being a crime-fighter sometimes lets me get out of school for the day, but it’s-- it’s not all that it’s cracked up to be. The worst part is the repeat offenders. You think you help someone once by means of rehabilitation, but then they come back, and they do it again, and you start to think: why bother?” The boy knew that, were Batman around, he would have received a scolding for having such a bleak outlook on life, but he was tired of fighting, and he sometimes wished all he had to worry about was geometry and not saving Gotham from the latest threat.
