 I can’t believe it. I mean I’d assumed Toto would become one of those girls who would have a big crush on Alibaba, but hooking up?! That was definitely not what I’d expected.

But as much as this is hurting my shipping-heart (My poor AliMor ; A ;), I have to admit that this is a surprisingly refreshing and realistic twist that Shinobu gave us.(◠‿◠)

With someone as slow as Alibaba when it comes to romance, he probably would end up dating another girl who he started to get to know more in the years he was training.

And though none of us want to admit that, we know that sadly that can realistically happen.

Even poor Mor seemed aware of it earlier when Aladdin said they should try to get to know her after. Not surprising since she’s a very sensitive girl. Mor seemed hesitant while watching them act so comfortable with each other, feeling like "a third wheel". Now doesn't that sound familiar? (HINT: That time he was with Ren Kougyoku and the flower field.)

HOWEVER *noticing the acid glares and signpost about to be tossed at me* this is definitely not going to upset the otp. This is just Alibaba’s first romantic exposure; it doesn’t mean he’s going to be with Toto indefinitely. (Though that in itself is a possibility.)

Think of Peema (ATLOK) when she told the girls about Tenzin being in a relationship with Lin before her. She just continued to remain persistent in her feelings for him, and knew deep down that the one who’s meant to be with him is her.

And when the right opportunity was presented to her, she was finally able to express her feelings towards him and, as she put it, “the rest was history.”

This may be a serious blow to Mor’s heart of course, but knowing her she’ll not give up so easily. Maybe a bit at first, but I doubt for very long. I’m sure like Peema she’ll find the right time to win Alibaba’s heart and make him realize that she’s the one he’s meant to be with.
